This isn't what I voted for!
Sep 6th, 2013 at 3:29pm

Time (and again) I hear and see people say "this isn't what I voted for" when a politician introduces a policy that everyone knew about.

I wonder how long people will have until they say this under the Coalition government.

Some voters think that every new baby will bring them $75,000 automatically.

Boats will be redefined!

I wonder what else voters will be surprised about?

Tony has already admitted that he wont stop the boats or produce a budget surplus.

Tony will lead the Coalition down into the abyss. All adorned with tools and with head lamps blazing. On the way down they pass Kevin and the Labor crew climbing back out of the hole - all dejected and filthy - stinking and covered in sh!t.

There'll be a cry of "It's deeper than we thought! - forget all those promises! But we'll fix it, we'll just have to be down here for longer than we thought".

And they'll toil away for a time - and soon they'll also find themselves in a state of being dejected, on the nose and covered in sh!t.

No GST/Core and non-core promises ring any bells?

I don't trust any politician (If I vote a politician might win - ugh!) and every time they promise anything I take it with a whole desert!

Which promise will Tony break first?

Payed Parental leave?
NBN?
Not increasing the GST?
Not re-introducing work choices?
