Poll Shows Landslide Victory for the Coalition
Aug 20th, 2013 at 2:24pm

So many polls in this country, so many inaccuracies and I've never met anyone than has taken part in a so called poll, so I decided to conduct a poll myself.

100 people were asked which party they would vote for in the September election, Liberals or labor. These people were family, friends, neighbours and acquaintances. 33% of these people were white collar workers,  33.3% were blue collar workers and 33.3% pensioners.

My poll concludes a horrific landslide to the Liberals won 96% of the votes.

They were also each asked if they have ever participated or asked to participate in a poll for a preferred party or preferred PM.

100% said NO.

So................Goes to show true outcomes of honest polling.

What does that make the Greens to Labor? An ugly growth on Labor's backside?

An independent party.

Unlike the gnats, we don't sell out Australia by supporting it's destruction via csg, just to keep libs happy.

It's the law, parties have to hand in preferencing to the electoral office.

Don't like it then help change the law.

meanwhile my statement stands.

gnats are libs' bed bitch,
meanwhile Greens and Labor are two independent parties.

Generation X

Polls are just a relative reflective measure which in absolute terms generally have a 2.5% or so margin of error (depends on method) or worse.

If a Poll says 52/48 the reality is that its too close to call...... in absolute terms.

The fact that in a series the polling has gone from 50/50 2pp to 54/46 tells you that the vote is trending away from the government who has a 0% tolerance to poll shifts against them.

The reason Rudd is panicking is that the polls usually close up which means while an election is yet to be called they usually move about often against the government, but when the election is called the close up or display less variability and approach a value usually closer to where the government stands.

This is not happening and if the next week polls slip again that to me suggests the ALP are in for a big hiding.

Given the short time left I think the poll shifts are over and they may even come back a 1% point or more

Given the ALP have 0% tolerance to a poll shift against them, I would say its a safe bet for the liberals.

Not sure how to explain it to the nutters out there, at 50/50 2pp would probably end up in a slight Coalition victory given 2 turncoat independents are gone...... The ALP would have to do better than 50/50 ..... and that is not including what is happening in the marginals.

I did a poll amongst my friends and it showed a 100% vote for the Greens.

Looks like the Greens will win this election.  Smiley

I know that independentaustralia is a bit of a joke... well actuyally, a HUGE joke, but they were complaining about the Newspoll (of course) results for Dobell (thomsons seat) and how it showed a massive swing to the Libs.  So their way of 'disproving' the result was go to a shopping centre and ask 100 people their opinions.  voila!!!  newpolls completely wrong because of the highly scientific 'shopping centre method'.

what a laugh!
