I took a call at home from someone doing a poll (I can't remember which organisation they were calling from).  The questions were so obviously biased and slanted towards getting a favourable result for the coalition parties that I made myself out to be much more left wing than I actually am....

I just got phone polled reach tell. Asked questions about my seat as well as opinions on Rudd and Abbott.

what proof do you have they ticked the boxes you told them too????.. just asking!

Fair question cods.
I have no proof, just like those polled by Newspoll have no proof Newspoll are not manipulating their numbers. In fact a story yesterday said Newspoll were fudging their numbers in an attempt to swing the vote to phoney Tony. A lot of SHEEPLE don't want to be saying they voted for the losers so unscrupulous companies, like News lmd, could very well manipulate numbers. Good on you cods, you have your thinking hat on.

You have a land-line phone?

Yep.

I've heard that some of the pollsters don't call mobile phones.  Only land-lines.

I don't even get reception on my mobile here.

And I'm PRETTY sure unlisted numbers are not included EITHER ?

REGARDLESS of this, the "big four" ( ... Newspoll, Morgan, Nielsen and Galaxy) do a pretty good job, between them, of "getting it right"

I'm less trusting of the "newbies" ( ... ReachTel, Essential, etc. - there seems to be a new one, every WEEK) as I suspect they're working on cost

ALL SAID - I have NEVER been called in 30 years
( ... the closest I got - was knocking back a door-to-door offer for electronic television ratings by Nielsen)

It's strange how some have never been polled. I have been polled by at least Neilson Newspoll and one Reach tell. One of those first two, can't remember which one, used to ring me regularly for a year or so. Maybe they et knocked back so often once they're onto someone that responds they keep calling. I noticed a company called AMR on Twitter last night saying they only get responses from around ten percent of people they try to poll.

Yes.  I have been polled twice since the Election was announced,

Both times (thus far) it was a female, auto-thing and questions that you got to key in 1,2,3,4.

Mostly who you will vote for, whether you have decided, who you voted for in 2010 ....

They did ask for you to key in your postcode.

Clearwater Gas? Or something that sounded like that.

It is BS.

Oh, I had the Greens door knock me over the weekend.

They (the GREENS) were far less aggressive than the Mormons so, when I said "I VOTE LIBERAL" they backed off and left hurriedly. LOL
