DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT A RUNAWAY GREENHOUSE EFFECT IS?

It's like a runaway train with greenhouse effect substituted for train.

I was asking Ajax, Soren. I already came to the conclusion that you wouldn't know.

Ajax - Do you agree with Soren's version?

There wont be any greenhouse effect because today we have some of the lowest amounts of CO2 in our atmosphere ever.

We also have some of the coolest temperatures ever.

If we were going to have a runaway greenhouse effect it would have happened millions of years ago when we had 20 times the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere than we have today.

But guess what not even 20 times the amount caused a runaway greenhouse effect.

So what's the problem today........????

You mean the consensus on AGW.....??

Well here is your consensus, hardly reassuring....!!!!

Quote:
That Scientific Global Warming Consensus…Not! – Forbes

By Larry Bell

So where did that famous “consensus” claim that “98% of all scientists believe in global warming” come from?

It originated from an endlessly reported 2009 American Geophysical Union (AGU) survey consisting of an intentionally brief two-minute, two question online survey sent to 10,257 earth scientists by two researchers at the University of Illinois.

Of the about 3.000 who responded, 82% answered “yes” to the second question, which like the first, most people I know would also have agreed with.

Then of those, only a small subset, just 77 who had been successful in getting more than half of their papers recently accepted by peer-reviewed climate science journals, were considered in their survey statistic.

That “98% all scientists” referred to a laughably puny number of 75 of those 77 who answered “yes”.

That anything-but-scientific survey asked two questions.

The first:

“When compared with pre-1800s levels, do you think that mean global temperatures have generally risen, fallen, or remained relatively constant?”

Few would be expected to dispute this…the planet began thawing out of the “Little Ice Age” in the middle 19th century, predating the Industrial Revolution. (That was the coldest period since the last real Ice Age ended roughly 10,000 years ago.)

The second question asked:

“Do you think human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures?”

So what constitutes “significant”? Does “changing” include both cooling and warming… and for both “better” and “worse”? And which contributions…does this include land use changes, such as agriculture and deforestation?

This has been demonstrated to be false and you didn't even comment on the data.

Not a runaway greenhouse effect, but then nobody is saying that it is.

Fruiterer: That's right. I just told you that we have no bananas
Ajax: Time will tell. You will be exposed for claiming that you have bananas (mutter mutter)

That's how you appear. You're making a fool of yourself.

Now do some Googling and tell me what a runaway Greenhouse effect is. I won't do it because you are obviously not paying attention.

Last warning. Maybe you want to be a martyr for your religion, but if you continue to spam by posting the same thing over and over, you will be given a holiday.

As long as the alarmists deny the truth it will be so easy to knock their argument for a six.

Now are you for real dude.......??!!

I will repeat it so you can digest it.

Today we have some of the coolest temperatures on Earth.

Today we have some of the lowest amounts of CO2 that we have ever had in our history.

You guys cant handle the truth.......!!!!!

You have been covering it up, and using this forum to promote the AGW religion.

Anyone who comes on here and stirs the pot is given a holiday.

Pathetic.......!!!

You must have a severe case of RSI with all the stirring that you've done. Have you had a holiday yet?

Now pay attention:

A runaway greenhouse effect is a process in which a net positive feedback between surface temperature and atmospheric opacity increases the strength of the greenhouse effect on a planet until its oceans boil away. An example of this is believed to have happened in the early history of Venus. On the Earth, the IPCC states that "a 'runaway greenhouse effect'—analogous to Venus—appears to have virtually no chance of being induced by anthropogenic activities

Did you understand that?

Thanks for that muso.

Everything the IPCC have predicted thus far from their computer circulation models has been proven wrong or exaggerated.

Their is no hot spot.......!!!!

The oceans are rising in concert with the earth's cycle of cold and warm climate.

Their is no correlation between CO2 & temperature.

The melting north pole - this process started a couple of hundred years ago, man's miniscule amount of CO2 emissions didn't start this phenomenon.

With all the above and the political nature of the IPCC to persuade people that AGW is real, its no wonder people are turning their heads at the AGW religion.

Hopefully more leaders around the world will follow Abbotts lead and toss the AGW hypothesis in the trash can where it belongs.
