Annis Shorrosh Arrested By Police For Fraud

Noted evangelist minister Annis Shorrosh was arrested by Daphe Police . The reason: Just like other evangelists he too was involved in financial fraud trying to destroy evidence of his financial crime.

Daphne police have arrested an Evangelist minister for arson.

A fire alarm went off about 10:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Loma Alta Towers. A trash can in the basement of the building was on fire.

Police Chief David Carpenter tells News 5 that Dr. Anis Shorrosh used an accelerant to set the trash can on fire. Police believe he did it in an attempt to burn the building down.

Shorrosh says he is from Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus Christ. He also claims to have preached the gospel in at least 76 countries.

Shorrosh has made himself a target of fanatic Muslims by by questioning the Qur’an. According to a website called Islam-In-Focus, Shorrosh has survived three assassination attempts by fanatic Muslims.

Shorrosh was another Evangelist who goes out with a bad name. A decade ago it was Jimmy Swaggart who was caught in obscenity and exposed by a prostitute.

For those who do not know about Annis Shorrosh, he is an Arab Christian who held debates with many prominent Muslims including Ahmed Deedat, and Jamal Badawi. For decades he was into preaching gospels

The Muslims never respected him as a scholar of interfaith dialogues, because he used only negative language to spread gospels. He was trounced by Ahmed Deedat in a public debate on “Is Jesus God?”.Even noted Scholar Jamal Badawi defeated him in one of the debateť "Is the Qur'an God's word?"ť Shorrosh in his debate tried to show grammatical mistakes in the Qur'an but Badawi responded him in an academic manner.

Quran-Burning Pastor's Former German Church Denounces Him: He's 'Violent And Fanatical'

...

A German congregation founded by the Florida preacher who has sparked global controversy with plans to burn Qurans on 9/11 says it has had nothing to do with the preacher since 2008, denouncing him as "violent and fanatical."

The Rev. Terry Jones has drawn international criticism with his plans to burn Qurans during services at his Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville...

...In the 1980s, Jones formed the Christian Community of Cologne, a charismatic Christian church in a heavily Catholic part of Germany that, at one point, claimed 800 members, reported dpa, the German Press Agency.

However, Jones was ousted from the church in 2008 over financial irregularities and personality clashes, according to the report. The church now has between 60 and 80 members.

"We are distancing ourselves from these actions and don't want to be connected to them," Stephan Baar, a church official, told dpa.

Other members also made it clear that they no longer wish to have contact with Jones.

"Thank God we no longer have anything to do with him," said Diana Breuel, who has been active with the church for six years.

Dpa cited church members who said Jones tried to run the Cologne church like a sect leader and applied psychological pressure on its members, subordinating all activities to his will.

"He wasn't the kind of pastor who did everything and took care of everyone," said Breuel.

Baar added: "He didn't project the biblical values and Christianity, but always made himself the center of everything."

In 2002, Jones was fined 3,000 euros by a German court for using the title of "doctor" under false pretenses. Members also said he was at the center of some financial irregularities. Since his departure in 2008, the congregation has had no contact to Jones...

Islamophobe's Past in Germany: Terry Jones Accused of 'Spiritual Abuse' at Cologne Church

...In the United States, Jones has already attracted attention on several occasions as an Islamophobic provocateur. What is less well known is that the pastor led a charismatic evangelical church, the Christian Community of Cologne, in the western German city up until 2009. Last year, however, the members of the congregation kicked founder Jones out, because of his radicalism. One of the church's current leaders, Stephan Baar, also told the German news agency DPA that there had been suspicions of financial irregularities in the church surrounding Jones.

A "climate of fear and control" had previously prevailed in the congregation, says one former member of the church who does not want to be named. Instead of free expression, "blind obedience" was demanded, he says.

Various witnesses gave SPIEGEL ONLINE consistent accounts of the Jones' behavior. The pastor and his wife apparently regarded themselves as having been appointed by God, meaning opposition was a crime against the Lord. Terry and Sylvia Jones allegedly used these methods to ask for money in an increasingly insistent manner, as well as making members of the congregation carry out work.

Andrew Schäfer, a Protestant Church official responsible for monitoring sects in the region where Cologne is located, confirmed the accounts. "Terry Jones is a fundamentalist," he told SPIEGEL ONLINE.

Both major churches in Germany have "sect commissioners" who monitor the activities of religious groups, sects and cults. Although they are obviously not totally impartial, the officials' findings are usually considered to be trustworthy.

'Delusional Personality'

Former church members are still undergoing therapy as a result of "spiritual abuse," Schäfer said. According to Schäfer, Jones urged church members to beat their children with a rod and also taught "a distinctive demonology" and conducted brainwashing.

"Terry Jones appears to have a delusional personality," speculates Schäfer. When he came to Germany in the 1980s, Jones apparently considered Cologne "a city of Hell that was founded by Nero's mother," while he thought Germany was "a key country for the supposed Christian revival of Europe," Schäfer says.

Terry Jones used his powers of persuasion to expand the congregation. By the end, Schäfer estimates, it numbered between 800 and 1,000 people. They had to work in the so-called "Lisa Jones Houses," charitable institutions named after his first wife who has since died, under very poor conditions.

Increasingly Radical

Jones became increasingly radical as the years went by, former associates say. At one point he wanted to help a homosexual member to "pray away his sins." Later he began to increasingly target Islam in his sermons. A congregation member reported that some members were afraid to attend services because they expected to be attacked by Muslims. "Terry Jones has a talent for finding topical social issues and seizing on them for his own cause," says Schäfer.
By the end of 2007, the community had had enough. Members confronted him and tried to change the direction of the church. But Terry Jones refused to make changes, they say. In the end, Jones, his wife and their fellow preachers were expelled from the church and he moved back to the US. "The community imploded," says Schäfer. It only has some 80 active members today.

Now the whole world is condemning Jones for his planned burning of copies of the Koran. Schäfer, for his part, sees Jones as a fanatic who is courting global media attention because he couldn't cope with the "immense loss of power and significance."

Muslim leader Ahmed Abdelshafy Mohamed El-Kahly guilty of sex assaults.

A MUSLIM prayer leader who groped the breasts of women and repeatedly kissed some of them while on his yearly religious trip to Sydney could face fresh charges, a court heard yesterday.
As Egyptian national Ahmed Abdelshafy Mohamed El-Kahly pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent assault, North Sydney Local Court was told two more alleged victims had come forward and "further investigations are pending".

Outside court, El-Kahly's solicitor claimed his client was suffering from "a psychiatric episode" at the time of the assaults and did not have necessary medication with him in Australia.

El-Kahly - who has been staying at the Dee Why mosque while on a yearly "prayer assistance" trip for Ramadan - repeatedly kissed the hands of two females in separate incidents last week, including those of a woman who was pushing her four-month-old grandson in a pram. He also swept his arm across the breast of a teenage girl as she walked her dog in a Dee Why park with a friend.
He had approached the girls in the James Meehan reserve last Monday to tell them he was visiting from Egypt and asked to shake their hands, court documents say.

Muslim 'cleric' sent hate mail to Australian war widows
One of the most reprehensible acts by a supposed "cleric" or "spiritual leader" would be to stir up hatred and cause more pain to families already grieving the deaths of their husbands/sons.  Well that didn't stop muslim Sheik Haron from sending hate mail to SEVEN Australian war widows and parents mourning the deaths of their loved ones. (See article below)

Guess the British won't be too surprised seeing they had their own recent show of soldier hate by a group of mocking muslim cowards in Luton. Led by no other than the odious hate mongerer, Adjem Choudary; (see prior blog) these muslims mocked the deaths of British soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

"The families of soldiers killed by friendly fire in Iraq have reacted with fury after a firebrand preacher taunted them over the deaths of their loved ones. Anjem Chourdary added insult to the injury caused by Islamic extremists' hate-filled protest against soldiers returning home from the war-torn region by saying they were 'not heroes but closer to coweards who cannot fight, as their uncanny knack for death by friendly fire illustrates'.....'They are terrorists, and cannot be excused for simply "carrying out their duty", which incidentally (and vividly) was also used by Nazi soldiers in Germany to justify their notorious and bloody campaigns in the early 20th century."S

A whirlwind of attention later, Dove World's pastor remains on the fringe

...As news of Jones' Dove World Outreach Center spread in the lead-up to his planned, then suspended, then canceled Quran burning, the world outside of Gainesville learned what many residents here already believed: The 58-year-old pastor with the handlebar mustache is on the fringe -- socially and religiously -- and has limited knowledge of the religion he claims to hate. His title of "doctor" comes from an honorary degree he received from an unaccredited California theology school that is trying to distance itself from him. He has earned no academic or theology degree.

But his radical views -- espoused in anti-Islam signs on the church lawn and in YouTube videos for at least a year now -- became a ticking time bomb when he threatened to burn Islam's holiest text...

...Since then, how much Jones knows about Islam has come under a microscope. He has said in several interviews that he has never read the Quran, the holiest book for about 1.5 billion people, despite publishing a book earlier this year called "Islam is of the Devil."...

...When Jones took over the church in 2004, it had about 100 members. The church had been founded in Gainesville in 1985 by Donald Northrup, who also was affiliated with Maranatha Campus Ministries -- a charismatic ministry that served mostly university and college campuses.

Church membership currently stands at about 50 -- with close to 30 people in attendance at recent services.

Jones and his second wife, Sylvia, operated the church in Gainesville part time between 2001 and 2008, and then full time after Jones left the Christliche Gemeinde Koln church in Cologne, Germany, after accusations of fraud came to light.

The German newspaper Der Spiegel quotes current church leaders as saying Jones was kicked out of the church over financial issues. They described his sermons as hate-filled.

Jones said he learned much of what he knows about Islam from books distributed by his publishing house and videos of an evangelist on YouTube.

"You believe that everything that is not from God is of the devil. Is that right?" Jones was asked by attorneys, according to a transcript of the deposition.

"Yeah, I guess so," he said...

...He was asked if he had taken part in any interfaith discussions.

He replied no and was asked why not.

"Because I'm not interested in interfaith discussions," he said. "That's part of our problem."...

...Jones has three children, whose ages he could not remember in the deposition. Jenny lives in London, Luke is a pastor at Dove World with his father, and Emma is estranged from the family. Jones said he does not know where she lives now.

Through e-mails, Emma Jones declined to comment for this story. But in an interview with Der Spiegel this week, she was quoted as saying: "As his daughter... I think he needs help."

In 1983, the California Graduate School of Theology, which says on its website it chooses to remain uncertified and unlicensed, gave Jones an honorary doctorate degree. That university now is distancing itself from Jones.

---

The tax-exempt status of Dove World Outreach Center came under scrutiny last year after The Sun reported that the Joneses were running a for-profit business out of church property.

TS and Company, which sells furniture on eBay, has a lease with the church, and early this year, the Alachua County Property Appraiser's Office rescinded the tax-exempt status for the portion of the property in that lease.

Former members who were brought to the United States on religious visas have said they were made to work as many as 12 hours a day packing furniture. Religious visas do not allow work at for-profit companies.

Daniel and Jennifer Engel, who grew up in the church in Cologne and worked for free for Jones in his Gainesville business, said in a July 2009 Gainesville Sun article that they felt mental and emotional pressure at the Gainesville church. The Engels said they realized they had been sucked into a rhetoric of preaching that the only way to heaven was to work for the church.

Jones' daughter, Emma, broke with her father and stepmother and the church in Germany.

In a Sun story published in July 2009, she said the church is a "cult" that "forced us with oppression to be obedient." She said she hopes to help others who want to leave the church...

...Emma Jones said the church in Cologne fed the private coffers of her father and stepmother.

"It's all about how much did you work, how much profit did you bring in," Emma Jones said last year. "He made 16-, 17- and 18-year-olds work 12-hour days."

In the deposition, Terry Jones was asked about the unaccredited Dove World Academy, a six-month-long boot camp-esque regiment of discipline and working without pay.

Those who are enrolled aren't allowed contact with family members for six months and are required to wear khaki uniforms and address church leaders as sir or ma'am.

The tuition is $500.

Police discount Danny Nalliah’s ‘Islamic extremist abduction’ theory – updated

ninemsn reports…

“Melbourne man Nasir Ahmadi suggested vengeful Islamic radicals were behind the disappearance of his Christian-convert wife.

He now admits he was the one who killed her.

The 47-year-old had been committed to stand trial over the murder of Zahara Rahimzadegan but pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Victorian Supreme Court on Friday.

Ahmadi cried and winced in the dock as he told Justice Elizabeth Curtain, “I’m guilty”.

Ms Rahimzadegan disappeared on December 16, 2011.

The couple had arrived in Australia as refugees from Iran in 1999 with their two sons and converted from the Muslim faith to Christianity.

Ms Rahimzadegan had been actively involved in helping new arrivals learn English through Christian groups and encouraged conversion to Christianity.

After her disappearance, her husband and other supporters, including Pastor Danny Nalliah, president of Catch the Fire Ministries, suggested Ms Rahimzadegan could have been abducted by Muslim extremists for her role in converting people to Christianity.

“Maybe somebody kidnapped (her),” Ahmadi told Network Ten.

“We don’t like you, you Christian and you convert the people to Christianity.”

Police rejected the theory and charged her husband with murder after discovering Ms Rahimzadegan’s body beneath a newly-constructed deck at the family’s Ashwood home.

Ahmadi’s committal hearing was told he initially confessed to the killing to police, admitting he placed a cord around his wife’s neck and strangled her before burying her body beneath the deck.

Crown prosecutor Peter Rose SC told the court the couple had a history of marital problems, at one stage separating for eight months, and that when his wife vanished on December 16, Ahmadi told people she had gone off with a man he suspected she was having an affair with.

Ahmadi will appear for a plea hearing on May 30.”

Who is Danny Nalliah and what is Rise Up Australia?

A new 'politically-incorrect' political party, helmed by a controversial Sri Lankan-born evangelist, aims to field 64 candidates in the next election. But who is Danny Nalliah?

At the launch of Australia's newest political party this week, Danny Nalliah said he is 'determined to be politically incorrect', with pro-Christian policy platforms to limit Muslim immigration and curb multicultural policies.

"Tolerance has gone too much and the Rise Up Australia (RUA) party is committed to keeping Australia Australian,” he said.

But what is known about the 48-year-old Sri Lankan-born evangelist with strong links with climate change sceptic Christopher Monckton?

WHO IS DANNY NALLIAH?

Reverend Daniel Nalliah, or Pastor as he sometimes goes by, is the National President of the Rise Up Australia Party.

According to a biography on his Christian evangelical website, Catch The Fire Ministries,  he was born in Sri Lanka where an Australian missionary counselled him in the ways of god.

In his youth he claimed to have been a drummer in night clubs around Sri Lanka before the lead guitarist in his band turned to God, which encouraged him to do the same...

...“While in Saudi Arabia, following an encounter he had with Jesus  Cheesy on 21st July 1997 (from 3.40am to 6.00am), in obedience to this, he decided to move to Australia and set up a base known as Catch The Fire Ministries Inc” his website biography reads...

...Rev Nalliah, together with another pastor Daniel Scott, was at the centre of a racial vilification case in which the Islamic Council of Victoria alleged that Muslims were vilified in a seminar, newsletter and website article issued by the Catch the Fire Ministries...

...On his website, Rev Nalliah refers to occasions where God has spoken to him directly  Cheesy  or through dreams.

One article caused outrage when he linked the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires to the liberalisation of abortion laws in Victoria.  Cheesy

“In my dream I saw fire everywhere with flames burning very high and uncontrollably. With this I woke up from my dream with the interpretation as the following words came to me in a flash from the Spirit of God.

“That His conditional protection has been removed from the nation of Australia, in particular Victoria, for approving the slaughter of innocent children in the womb.”... Cheesy

WHAT IS HIS CONNECTION TO LORD MONCKTON?

Prominent climate sceptic Lord Monckton was present at the Rise Up Australia launch yesterday, throwing his weight behind Mr Nalliah’s election campaign.

“It is not for me as a Brit to endorse any Australian political party, ... but I'm going to anyway,” Lord Monckton said...

...The party’s views converge with those of Lord Monckton on climate change... Cheesy

What’s wrong with that? A gentleman goes to kiss the hands of two ladies, but inadvertently suffers a psychotic episode and confuses their hands for their breasts.

It happens all the time.

Oh. The chap is swarthy, you say? A dirty gyppo?

Remove him from the country. Despicable.

On a more serious note..........

In the United States, Ashrafuzzaman Khan ostensibly is a respected Muslim cleric, president of the Imams of America association and past secretary general of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA).

In Bangladesh, a court is hearing evidence alleging that Khan is a war criminal, someone who helped draft a list of intellectuals who would later be kidnapped and killed in the final days of the 1971 war of liberation against Pakistan.
