Costello Grows a Pair at Last
Jul 31st, 2013 at 8:08am

Stinky Pete has finally grown a pair and come out publicly againgst Rudd and changes to the FBT.

What a shame he didn't have a set prior to the 2007 election.  The Libs would still be in if he had of challenged Howard.

Better late than never I guess.

He is often right - his negative comments about Howard and Abbott were also right however this is a nothing issue in the scheme of things. The topic is about a change in his gonads which hasn’t occurred.

No Cods, it is you who hasn't read it .... or simply failed to understand it, again ... no one has back flipped on anything. They are merely considering options, of which the one you suggest is one.

Of course the Australian taxpayer should be subsidising the private use of motor vehicles for a chosen few.....The taxpayer should also support the car industry with billions of dollars in subsidies to be siphoned off to their parent companies in the USA and Japan.....I mean these subsidies do so much good for the taxpayer don't they!!!

Speaking of those subsidies Phil, the Liberarti on here slammed Labor for job losses at Ford when they announced their closure in Vicortia - citing job losses and posting photos of forlorn workers standing at the gates, yet when the government provides subsidies to prevent such losses, they still whine.   Roll Eyes

Me, I am no great fan of subsidies.  I would prefer they take the money and pay the workers out and assist the many sub contractors and business' reskill.   If Ford, Holden and Toyota fail, that's the way the cookie crumbles.  It is the worker that should be looked after here

Any industry that is not critical to the future prosperity of the nation should not be propped up by taxpayers money.....Why should taxpayer fund the private use of motor vehicles to supplement wages???

Huh Huh Huh

it is hardly a privileged few.  it is a LOT and it is mainly middle income earners seeking a chance to get a car.

I guess you are not one of them.

300,000 car industry jobs sound good enough reason?  you were happy for Rudd to hand over $42B to merely support the retail sector during the GFC and it was a massive failure and now the thought of spening one billion to support a massive industry is too much?

Rudd and the Labor supporting Dickheads just don't get IT...

this'll be like the Mining Tax... it wont raise a cent and in fact looks like it may lose the Government money...

why he's trying to grovel to the Public Service, not sure yet but there's bound to be some slimy reason...

Only a neo con would support a select few using their private vehicle to dodge paying income tax.

Have to admit, I didn't read it either.

I got to 'grown a pair' and started to laugh.
