Ms Amnesia, we have no jurisdiction in Indonesia. What we do have is an agreement made with PNG that people assessed as being genuine refugees (having arrived on our island outposts) will be welcommed as citizens of PNG. I am sure anyone who leapt onto Achmed's leaky unseaworthy boat for an Indian Ocean cruise would be quite happy to be so welcommed by such a terrific and peaceful Country. Citizenship and no-one shooting at you or persecuting you! How much better can you get! How grateful would you be to be finally safe from persecution and fear for your life!

If he gets elected, he is not going to suddenly allow in even more boats, blow an even bigger hole in the budget, endorse arsefvcking and muff diving as marriage equality, mandate union membership, sell Abos into slavery in PNG.

You elect Abbott and you know what he is going to do.
You elect Rudd and you have no idea what he is going to do.
That the difference.

We all now know exactly what Rudd will do with Achmed's cargo. He will, as asked by PNG, send them safe and sound into the welcoming bosom of equitorial tropical Manus Paradise. What is wrong with that? If the refugees are unhappy about that, I guess they don't jump onto Achmed's boat, hey? They'll do what other refugees do....wait their turn for UNHCR to sort them out, or grab a Qantas flight from Jakarta.

If he didn't want them to die, why did he encourage them to get on boats? The previous policies where there specifically for this and it stopped them. Rudd dismantled them because he wanted them to get on boats to die. I don't know why. Maybe he is RACiST! And so would all the left who cheered when he removed the policies.

That must have been you as well. I'll remind you of how you cheered for this one too when the rapes and murders start happening. You can have drownings, murders and rapes on your résumé.

How come those who were screaming so loudly for the off-shoring of refugees/asylum seekers are screaming even more loudly now that it is going to happen??

Could the real reason be not so much that the screamers feel compassion for these people, but more that their hero, Wingnut, has been completely snookered??
