Which against ANY opposition is a killer. Against NSW, I am surprised they did not rack uo 40 pts. We were never in the game.

If Thurston is on his game then NSW are in trouble. Last year the only real difference between the teams was Thurston. The NSW halves were very ordinary and created very little. Maloney may be putting an end to that though.

The Blues were very strong defensively which has been sadly lacking but they still made lots of errors and turned the ball over too many times.

To parody Cameron Smith the Blues didn't play their best but still managed to win.... Tongue

QLD were definitely not their arrogant selves though. Did they have a bad night or is the gloss wearing thin....only time will tell Huh

I believe it was the oldest origin side ever ...... but like Lockyer said (at least I think it was lockyer) , if they'd had younger players that were better, they would have selected them. Qld's 'era' is done and dusted .. NSW will win the next 7 yrs, and then the cycle will repeat. (yeah I know, I'm the eternal optimist)
