Those that arrived by plane and have overstayed their visa period are not costing taxpayers through collecting welfare payments, accomodation, food, TV's, computers, etc. Those illegal immigrants who arrived by boat are literally costing us billions of dollars. Actually, they are both illegal - entering without authorisation, and immigrants - they are people who want permanent settlement (=immigrants), not temporary protection (=refugees).

This is why temporary protection visas are perfectly proper. But do they want protection until things settle back home??

They want settlement and they want it now (=immigrants). Do thy qualify for settlement as immigrants?
No.
Do they accept that?
