Australias performance was horrible, they were missing passes by 20 metres and didn't look like taking an opportunity till the got the reserves involved. They were outplayed by a team of inexperienced kids and did not deserve to win.

Australia had a team stacked with A league players and left quality european guys on the side line.

You could see the class added by the reserves but they waited for 80 minuted before putting their best players on.

With the current coach they will be minced meat in Brazil they are not playing well enough to deserve to be there.

You must of been watching a different game to me then.
The passing was very impressive. It was a very fast tempo game because of Iraq's youthful endeavour and the fact so much was riding on it.My nerves were frayed at the end.
I honestly believe Dnarever that Cruze and Oar will be the talk of Rio,and both of them I believe play in Europe not the A league.

soccers the boringest game.
A game for saps.

I hoped we'ld lost last night to stop a year or so of boring news items about a boring game .

newsflash - latest results after days of the 'worlds best' players playing the 'worlds boringest game :-

0 - 0
0 - 0
1 - 0

AFL a code of football thar has aptured the imagination of one country. Points often reach the hundreds; not surprising when you score multiple points by kicking into an infinitely high goal mouth and even collect a point for a near miss. Add to that the pantomine of a 'mark', when a striker catches the ball
ad
can then score a goal from a drop kick with no fear of being tackled.

Your razor is probably up your arse with the rest of your wits .

It’s too early to drink this heavily – drop kick… Roll Eyes

Something the Americans and Australians can agree on.

socrates and grey - hahahahaha

My guide is, for any game to be good, one side/person has to be able to score 100 pts in a game.

league, union, AFL, basketball, golf, cricket.

So you rely on how many points a side scores, not the skill needed to score in that game and the level of difficulty in scoring.

Yep, you support the right game alright. As they call it here in Queensland...a cissy's game, and in WA, aerial ballet........ Grin Grin

Yes Cruz was impressive in the first 15 minutes and was then swamped by the defence and Oar was brilliant. But over 70% were A leagers. We turned over posession with extremely poor passing all game and we had european professionals on the side line who are a class above the majority of A league players we had on the field.

A world cup team would have put double figures on us.

Dnarever, they took cahill off and put josh kennedy(who does he play for?)and then they took off brett holman (aston villa uk premier league) for Tom Rogic (who?) and archie tompson for cruze. So it looks like they took off the experienced "euro players" players and not the other way around my friend.
In the pouring rain and a sliding pitch why wouldn't you put a big fella in the middle and start lobbing balls in at him with 10 minutes to go.Anyway who cares heh....we are where other teams haven't got yet...we are going to RIO!

They need to make the goal bigger in soccer to increase the scores -
maybe a meter wider & 20cm higher.

It gets so boring when it goes on for a hour or more with no score.
