I am talking about the PAYE for the 12 months.

I paid $65k up front, including bonus tax.

You paid more than that last week did you in personal income tax?

ohh, changing your statement now are you????

I used YOUR figures , not mine, I didn't pull any numbers out of a hat and I'm not psychic .. don't try to change it now just because you look like an idiot.

They are not my figures, they are the correct ones.
Up to June 30, I paid over $60,000 in tax per annum for the years I was there.
This ignore tax adjustments which occur post the tax year and treated separately with the lodgements of my Trust company and holding entity.

they are figures that you gave ... I do not make up figures about peoples taxes just out of boredom .. if you left out relevant information then it is your fault and you shouldn't have tried to use it as an example.

The fact I am an Australian citizen makes me an Australian citizen.

This isn't subjective, its a statement of fact.

My 3 cousins born in Dubai are not Arab citizens.
The fact that they are not allowed makes them not one.

I am not sure your point here.

I am an Australian, it's just fact.

$4,500 per month + additional tax on bonus equated to about $66,000 in tax paid.

Now admittedly, using Double Taxation Offset relief and Channel Islands lodgement of the Trust arm chosen to pay me brought that down to a 9% liability but my point is still valid.

The PAYE I paid before any adjustments was over $65,000.
Fact.

I paid my way through the year.

no your point is not still valid ... you cannot claim you paid $66 000 in tax and then say you only ended up with a 9% liability

you are deliberately trying to mislead

Technically I did.

The PAYE I paid was $65k.

The Trust Holding entity in Guernsey was a separate lodgement and had a net tax position in Australia of -$54k.

They are 2 different returns.

Overall the bank outlay was $11k which was 5.8% but the tax of me as a person was $65k.
Boom.
Lesson ended.

What our incompetent PM conveniently left out was the undeniable fact that prior to Rudd becoming PM, the problem of illegal immigrants had been solved via the Pacific Solution. It was a non-issue for everyone except the bleeding-heart brigade. In came Rudd and his "compassionate" solution for a problem that ceased to exist long ago and he completely stuffed it up. Since then, more than 30,000 people have arrived and more than 1,000 have perished at sea thanks to Rudd's "compassionate" solution. Labor could and should have fixed this mess years ago by reinstating the Pacific Solution. Instead, Gillard has had more positions on this issue than one of Craig Thomson's prostitutes has ever been in and the people smugglers know this government isn't serious or even competent enough to stop them. Labor made this mess, so it's time Gillard stopped blaming others for her and her party's own incompetence.

I bet thats more than you.

You got 90% of it back.

i.e. you payed your fair share of tax and then claimed 90% of it back.

In the end you probably payed about as much tax then the average unemployed person or not much more.

If you buy a $20 item but pay the guy $100 and get $80 change do you say it cost you $100 too?

That has nothing to do with the fact that Abbott and the Liberals have been preventing any fix for the situation since that time - 2009 2010 2011 2012 and 2013 the Liberals have been ensuring that as many boats as possible arrive. The only plan they could agree with was Nauru and it has been a failure.

The holding company that employed me got refunded.
I as a person paid tax.

Two separate entities.

Your comments have nothing to do about any reality.

There was no policy put to parliament for liberals to block.

It was labor who have not had the balls to bring anything forward, so labor are as usual, failures.

I had reason to go to Strathfield not long ago, I was walking down the street of the main shopping centre when I saw this line of people in the street, pretty much all middle eastern with a sprinkling of Chinese.

I thought, "what's going on are they giving away money in that building?"

Then I looked up and saw it was Centrelink and yes, they were giving money -ours A TRUE STORY

You were most probably in the queue at Dapto John.

My point is this, most of those boat arrivals end up in queues just like the one I described with their hand out for money. Why do you think Labor has racked up 145 billion dollars in debt?
