Well said Monsieur Fillon.
Isn't it strange that it has taken a leftist to say it. You would have thought President Whatsaname would have said something like that . . .you know, the one married to the horny chic.

It's a fair call, but only a Frenchie could say it.

Liberte, equalite, fraternite.

Your British are much more polite.

Cultures evolve, nothing stays still.

What this Frenchy is saying is that he wants a complete halt to French cultures evolution.  Nice bit of dog whistling, but ultimately futile.

You cant stop evolution.

And how dare a European say that European culture isn't being enriched by Muslim immigration and the demands for Sharia Law...They should be proud and happy to scrap all of their culture and bring in laws banning drinking, freedom for women and a choice of clothing and behaviour..

This is a hoax email doing the rounds. It's also been attributed to Gillard but was based on an opinion piece by an American.

Think.

I don't believe it was a hoax unless the French Prime Minister has a double.

For once, a French politician has the courage to say out loud what the French think and sometimes cry out about

Interesting approach…
Learning to live in peace and harmony …

Muslims who want to live under the law of the “Islamic Sharia” have recently been told to leave France in order to guard against possible terrorist attacks, the government has targeted radicals.
Apparently, the Prime Minister, Francois Fillon has angered some French Muslims in stating:
THOSE IMMIGRANTS, WHO ARE NOT FRENCH MUST ADAPT.
Take it or leave it, I’m tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.
Our culture has developed with struggles and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
Our official language is French, not Spanish, or Lebanese, or Arabic, or Chinese, or Japanese, or any other language. Therefore, if you want to be part of our society, learn the language!
Most French people believe in God. This is not some Christian obligation, influence by the rightists or political pressure, but it is a fact, because men and women founded this nation on Christian principles, and this is clearly documented.
It is then appropriate to display this on the walls of our schools’ … if God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your home, because
God is part of our culture.
We will accept your beliefs without question.
All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in peaceful harmony with us.
This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, AND OUR LIFESTYLE.
And we offer you the opportunity to enjoy all this.
But if you’re tired of our flag, our commitment, our Christian beliefs, or our lifestyle, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of another great French freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.
If you are not happy here then LEAVE.
We did not force you to come here.
You asked to be here.
So accept the country YOU chose.

(Perhaps if we circulate this email to the world’s citizens we may find a way to stand up and spread the same truths)

Well said…Mr Fillon!

FROM RED BARON  This article is all over Google, many sources here is another one. Either this is the hoax of the year or multiple sources have it wrong.

I have not found any disclaimers from the Prime  Minister of France.

"From Francois Fillon blog site:
(translated fairly badly but you'll get the picture)

In recent weeks, the fabric of relays unacceptable comments about Muslims and attributed to me which propagate in the form of mail picked up by several blogs. I can confirm that it is a "hoax" hoax in French, hateful, namely a false statement. This letter actually circulating worldwide for over a year and has already allocated about these several officers or foreign heads of government. I invite users who are likely to encounter this hoax to denounce it. The web should not be the space of lies and racial hatred. Those who know me know that such things are the opposite of what I am, what I think of all my political Republican e humanist. "

I have always believed in "when i Rome do as the Romans do".

if I went to live in Lebanon I would learn the language and wear appropriate clothing and it really would not occur to me to want to make it like Australia!!!!..

why go to another country to turn it into what you have left??? doesnt make sense to me.

you want Sharia Law live in a muslim country its not rocket science.
