Politics Peter, and this is a 'politics' forum.....

Having a particular political preference often tends to make one over defend the views  of the party of best fit.  You do it as well........ Wink

For the record, I think Gillard has been an utter failure of a PM.

However I have no confidence that Tony Abbott is any better.
I think he's an excellent attack opposition leader but not good on putting his own policies forward, whereas Turnbull (my preferred PM) is.

However to say "All liberal good. All Labor bad"?

Have a look at someone like Buzz who forms his view on something based on who said it!

Adelcrow would pin the Lindbergh kidnapping on Abbott if he could and will never give him any credit.

It is sad the lack of objectivity on here.

Given I won't vote and am insulated from the errors of any policy, maybe I am afforded the luxury of objectivity.

Agreed.

The sickening bipartisan nature of this forum, from both sides, is the main reason why I scarcely post.

No, Maqqa, the ones beIng called to account in this thread and you and your cronies, people like Swagman, for example? It's Liberal toadies/Labor haters being called out here.

Don't give me that "accountability" crap. You never hold the Liberals accountable for anything .

Who's in government?

Pathetic response, Maqqa, even by your low standards. You're telling us you would hold a Liberal government up to the same scrutiny?

Pull the other one..........

That's not what I'm talking about and you know it. There is a huge difference in "defending the views" and the sort of single-minded crap you and Maqqa come out with every day.

I have my own views. I don't like the current ALP and have little time for Gillard, I think she has courage, but little else.

I don't trust Abbott and believe the name of his party is based on a lie, they certainly are not "liberal". Had I the vote, I couldn't support either.

My position is based on thought and reason. You and your running mate Maqqa base your views on intense hatred and mindless, unquestioning adoration.

The continuous argument will carry on with great vigour during an election year. Already some patterns are emerging.

Many of us on the left have little time for the current government or the PM. But those on the right, headed by Mindless Maqqa, are convinced Abbott and the Liberals can do nothing wrong.

Orwell's "Four legs good, two legs bad" has been replaced by "Liberals good, Labor baaaaad" no matter what the topic.

Why is this? Why is it that if his beloved Abbott was found in bed with a troop of Girl Guides, Maqqa would parrot about how wonderful it was to see him taking an interest in the youth of the country?

I think the reason is simple. Maqqa and his mates have lost all capacity of thought and reason. Like Orwell's sheep they have become cannon fodder, Abbott's flock.

Of course I am leftwing. I amalso an independent thinker. I am as critical of the ALP as the LNP, probably more so, because I expect more from them.

"little white lie" - geez you guys think so simplistically, everything has to be black and white for you.

It plays Jingle Bells!

Personally, I don't have a problem, with either Right or Left.

I am an equal opportunity employer, which means I would happily sack all of them, as they all look after their own short term interests, instead of our long term interests & I equally regard them all as a bunch of R'soles!

I agree, Cods. The best posters have left. Matty, Shane B, Blackadder, Lynn.

I like KJT1981, but she doesn’t post as much. Also, she’s still new here and getting to know everyone.

peter may I suggest if you start a thread and want a non personal response... you might try diplomacy..

hanging the opposition before you get off the ground is hardly going to get a reasonable response..

you have admitted being less than happy with your govt.. so at least admit rightie has something to whinge about..

ok some truths hurt like hell ... we understand that we really do..

but shooting down everything a rightie says....even though you admit you agree with him... isnt exactly going to get decent discussion..

what are your complaints about Abbott.? for instance..I try to be fair and say he hasnt been a PM as yet.. he is condemned before he gets off the ground...when he was a member of the govt he wasnt the PM..so why shouldnt he get some support from Liberals??..you supported rudd.. and he came from nowhere...

a lot of lefties on here claim they would vote Liberal if Turnbull was the leader.... as if that changes the philosophy of the Liberal Party..

one man or women does not make a govt.
