Nope, what I've accurately described is the AGW hypothesis.

Your failure to understand this simple (and extremely basic) fact isn't that surprising though.

After all, it was you who went down the "Hitler', 'gravity' path.  This new development - that shows you don't even understand what the AGW hypothesis actually is - has pretty much put the nail in your coffin: there's no way anything you say from now on can be taken seriously.

Sorry.

Now explain for us Greggery - why do you choose to ignore all of the evidence that exists to support the many hypotheses that make up the AGW theory?

Take the example I have already given you.  THere is evidence that the stratopsphere is cooling.
Why do you simply close your eyes and pretend that this evidence does not exist?

What purpose does wilful ignorance serve for you Greggery?

Can you explain?

Nope, what I've accurately described is the AGW hypothesis.

It is a theory Greggery,  Not a hypothesis.

A theory summarises a group of hypotheses that have been supported with evidence.

There is evidence that the stratosphere is cooling.  THis supports the hypothesis that increased CO2 would cause the stratosphere to cool
There is evidence that the sea levels are rising.  THis supports the hypothesis that warming oceans would rise through the thermal expansion of water.
There is evidence that outgoing longwave radiation is decreeasing in the same wavelength bands that are absorbed by CO2.  THis supports the hypothesis that increasing CO2 would absorb more energy
theses are just a tiny handful of examples of evidence which supports the various hypotheses that make up AGW theory.

Why do you deny that all of this evidence exists Greggery?

Is it a religion thing?

I don't: I've always said that the evidence exists.

You did a fair job Greggery - but you were not very accurate:

human-caused carbon dioxide emissions are causing dangerous global warming.

CO2 is not the only anthropogenic gas that is causing global warming.  You have not considered methane, sulfur hexaflouride, NOx or CFCs.

And what is "dangerous" global warming.  That is a very ambiguous way to try to prhase a hypothesis.

Still - it was a good effort by someone as scientifically illiterate as you are.

Well done you Greggery!

You are proposing that the theory of gravitation has equal plausibility to the Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory are you not? Shocked

I propose that there is much more argument against AGWT.

But you can't explain to us what this argument is.
You just seem to take it as an article of faith.

There are a few reasons for the stratosphere to cool. What is the evidence the other factors are not in play?

Sea rise 'not linked to warming', says report

THE latest science on sea level rises has found no link to global warming and no increase in the rate of glacier melt over the past 100 years.

"We need to move from fear-based to fact-based evidence," Dr Greene said. "We can trust the current models for the next 10 years, but there are problems after 15 years; sea level rises could be better or they could be worse."

Am I Greggery?

Why then do you insist on referring to AGW as a hypothesis rather than a theory?

Could you explain that for us Greggry?

Sorry.

Why are you incapable of answering the simplest questions Greggery?

What is difference between the thories of AGW and gravity?

Why do you accept the evidence to support one.
But reject the evidence that supports the other?

Why can't you explain this Greggery?

Is it a religion thing?

Really Greggery!!!!

You have always said that the evidence exists!!!!

Have you?!?!

Funny - you seemed to sat the exact opposite just a few pages ago!:

The AGW hypothesis has no credible convincing evidence and as such the followers of this religion constantly resort to nonsense such as "consensus", irrational fear-mongering, hyperbole, data manipulation, and outright lies.

Why do you consider the evidence that supports gravity to be credible  and convincing, but not the evidence that supports AGW?

Could you explain to us what is not credible or convincing about the evidence that suppports AGW.?
Start with stratospheric cooling
Why is this evidence neither credible nor convincing?

And yet the owner of the Australian Rupert Murdoch is a firm believer in the science and says we must act against climate change asap. It seems he likes throwing out the bait and taking money from the denialists while being firmly on the side of science.

So. What has the peer-reviewed paper got to do with that stupid statement.
