More like him spruiking himself in the Media limelight again - just to be seen with his new makeover.

Him and his ex-wife used to do it all the time for the magazines ...seperated, back together, seperated again, back together again, seperated, on and on and on.

Peter Garrett was a great Singer/songwriter, etc
but not as good as a Political figure.
Warnie was a great Cricket player but after that - he is just an embarressing knob like Warwick Capper.

I would be insulted if I was on the team - some bygone legend expecting to come back for the Ashes ...as if my fellow team-mates and I were not up to the challenge.

George Piggins EGO of yesteryear always the best years was what ruined the 'future' of South Sydney for some time.

F off Warnie you wanker!!!

Warne is a very good bowler but he retired.....He should stay retired and leave the game to people who put in the work required at the top level.....Australian cricket needs to get over Shane Warne....I know I have!!!

If you're good enough you're good enough no matter what age.

Bob Simpson made a comeback at 41 having not played first class cricket for 10 years.  Scored 100 in the first test & 176 in the 4th Test V India in 77/78.  Averaged 53 for the series with 2 hundreds & 2 50s... Smiley

Yes but he stayed within the Cricketing circles, rather than cavort like a Wanker via the Media with whores, gambling, etc  like Warwick Capper and Shane Warne have. I don't think he even had an earing for his luvo ego.
But maybe Warne should come back - it seems most of Australian Sport is filled with wanker guys these days.

Simpson came back because of WSC otherwise there is no way he would have played for Australia again.....If Shane Warne wants to put in the work required and meet the requirements for selection then he should be considered.....If Shane Warne wants to walk into the Australian side based on his reputation and celebrity then it will never happen!!!

If Warne is fit to play a five day game (and there is doubt about that) he gets a rail's run into the Team.

Wade is not a Test Keeper.  That stumping he missed today was elementary.  His footwork sucks, his timing sucks, he fails to stay low (easier to rise than drop......notice how his gloves were above the ball when he missed that stumping) and he show pony's with exaggerated movement when he already has the ball in the gloves.  He is okay.....but not a Test Keeper.

I agree, Wade needs to lift his game behind the stumps.
He's missing way too many chances, and I consider every missed chance that a better keeper would have taken to be requiring at least another 20 runs with the bat from him.

I disagree.  The very first catch....where was his footwork?  A simple cross step and a half, he has the ball and he is on his feet.  What did he do?  He did not move his feet, and was on his pads taking the catch.  The catch running back?  Well, that is not a 'keeper's catch.  It was very well caught, but not a wicket-keeping effort.

Wade = 1 run.

Nah.

Nah!

He does not watch the ball.  He assumes the batsman will hit it, and his eyes go there.

One of the differences between Wade and Haddin:

...

Haddin has the ball in his glove.  Up there ^^^^^ Wade's is empty.

No doubt that Haddin is the better keeper, but he's 35.

So, when Wade is a better keeper than an ageing Haddin, if by then there is no-one better, then he gets the gig, not before.

Oh well, now he's 35 and out with a hammie.
Looks like Wade will be back unless they put their faith in Hughes.

That was a B-side tonight.

Hughes is only a part-timer.  Yes, if Haddin fails to recover, it enhances Ward's chances of making the England Tour.....but he really is below par at the moment.  As I think I have already posted...(Keating)..'All tip and no iceberg,' and I have provided photographic proof ^^^^^^^.

Hughes may be a part-timer but he kept really well for 30 overs or so.
He could be a backup for Warne, or was that Ward, or Wade...now I'm confused, that all tip and no iceberg guy  Cheesy

OMG! How many ways could the Melb. Stars find to throw away that match against Perth?
I know it's only hit and giggle but still not a fitting end for Warnie.
And both Melbourne sides out on their ass  Angry

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/national/liz-hurley-in-catfight-with-channel-10...

Quote:
LIZ Hurley has been accused of pushing and swearing at a popular television sports reporter at Perth Airport this morning.
Media at the airport were interviewing Shane Warne in the wake of his Melbourne Stars' thriller against the Perth Scorchers in the BBL last night when Channel 10's Caty Price was shoved and told to “bugger off” by the actress.

Price told 6PR Radio this morning that Ms Hurley “walked into the back of me” and said it was “rude to stand in front of people”.

"I then asked her, ‘Liz what did you think of the game last night?’ and she spun around on her heels and said ‘I think you should...’ mouthed to me close up to my face ‘F off.’,” Price said.

"And then (she) did another spin and flick of the hair and strutted off with Shane.”

  .
The entire incident was captured on camera.
Price said she had never had an issue with Ms Hurley in the past.

"We didn’t approach her at all at the airport and normally I wouldn’t have asked her anything except she sort of pushed us out of the way initially,” Price said.

"I thought... may as well throw a question at her.”

"That wasn’t what I was excepting this morning and probably not what I would have thought from an English lady.”

English lady.....

Lets face it.....Warne is a dickhead and so is his missus!!!

Warnie and Lizzie are all over the media when things are going well (as if we really care).....Then when Warnie proves what a tosser he really is once again he carries on like a Prima Donna.....The Blondie reporter seamed very pleased with the both of them!!!
