Hell no, fire another 10,000, it’s working so well for the people of Palestine, after all.

So if someone was to invade and occupy Israel, US, UK or Australia? You would expect them to not do anything and allow their civilians to be killed and put into ghettos?

No way, we’d also buy 2bob rockets and keep lobbing them over the border, it works so well.

Yeah, how dare they not drop white phosphorous on schools like the civilised jews.
So you do support Palestine's right to defend itself?

I think lobbing rockets at Israel isn’t working.

Better to die on your feet then live on your knees. If the choice is between having some pride and having absolutely nothing, no man would pick the latter.

So I guess they will continue to buy rockets, fire them at Israel and end up dead on their feet and with nothing, but some pride, apparently.

Who’s making/forcing the choice, the greater Palestinian population, or radicals and Hamas I wonder?

As opposed to ending up dead on their knees with no pride.

Who's making/forcing the choice, the greater population, or radical zionists I wonder?

Hope they enjoy their pride.

Why do you not have an issue with Israel firing rockets?
Also its funny you raise the issue of governments making decisions for their people, I don't see you sticking up for Westerners who oppose 'defending' ourselves in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc..?

LOL, my ideas don’t matter, yours either.

I just thought there might be another way, other than firing rockets and dying....with pride.

Yeah I wonder how ww2 would have ended up if the allies used the same logic.

Wonder away…

Though, for that analogy to work, Israel would have invaded and destroyed Palestine many, many decades ago. I don’t think Hitler played this nice with Poland and Czechoslovakia.

So you are saying a sustained suffering on an unimaginable scale for over half a century is not as bad?

OK, as usual you are correct. WW2 is a perfect analogy to use along side the Israel/Palestine conflict.

The 2 are just so god damn similar I almost thought they were the same thing!

Just like WW2.

August – Hitler signs non-aggression treaty with the USSR.
September 1 – 1.5 million troops invade Poland – hopes the world will turn a blind eye
September 3 – WW2

I’m not on anyone’s side in all this.

I don’t have answers.

Shooting 1000’s of rockets  isn’t working, maybe there is another way, that’s all I’m saying.

I hope someone can broker a peace deal.

Palestine isn't a country?

Swagman,
Could you answer some basic questions about the country of Palestine:

1. When was it founded and by whom?
2. What language did the Palestinians speak?
3. What writing [script] did they use?
4. What manuscripts did they leave?
5. What was their religion?
6. Where are their temples?
7. What monuments attest to their existence?
8. What were its borders?
9. What was the name of its capital?
10. What were its major cities?
11. What constituted the basis of its economy?
12. What was the name of the currency that they used?
13. What was its form of government?
14. What achievements have they accomplished?
15. What other peoples did Palestine interact with?
16. Where can one find any [historic] records, wherein the country of Palestine and its people are mentioned?
17. What archaeological sites can one name?
18. Where can one find the recorded history of these people?
19. Whom did they conquer?, or, were conquered by?
20. Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation [or doubt]?
21. What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine?
22. Can anyone name at least five Palestinian leaders before Arafat?
23. Finally, since there is no such recognised country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?

Further, why did these proud 'Palestinians' between 1948 and 1967, passively, allow themselves to be occupied by the Jordanians in the 'West Bank', and by the Egyptians in Gaza?

Those Q's  [above] are taken from;

The impact on the Palestinians is exactly the same and probably x1000000 considering how long it has been going on now.

Just try and imagine the response if Jews were in Palestine's position for over half a century.

At the end of the day the Palestinians have the right to defend themselves even if it is not productive and its wrong to say otherwise.
