How to Make an Outdoor Cooling System?
Nov 14th, 2012 at 1:32pm

Hi all,

As I have little idea, cool your outdoor living space up to 25 degrees on a hot day with an outdoor cooling system. According to the Front Porch Ideas and More website, an outdoor cooling system like a mister system is simple to make with tubing, fittings and a garden hose. So that if any idea spark anyone's mind to make an outdoor cooling system, then kindly share with me.

Thanks in advance!

What about using a heat pump that relies on the sun's energy. You choose a liquid that vaporizes around ambient temperature. One part of the closed device is buried in the soil (condenser) the other part is vapour space. The vapour travels from  one side of the loop to the other and drives a paddle wheel with a magnet. The magnet is coupled to another magnet outside the tube, which is built into a cog, which forms part of a differential gearing system. The final gear is attached to a plastic fan.

A solar driven fan. Smiley

Then again, you could wear one of these (boring)

I've just perfected an ingenious device that requires no electricity, but effectively cools.

1 x Generator (4 stroke).
1 x Refrigerator
4 Litres of Petrol (unleaded)

Step 1. Pull the shelves out of the refrigerator.
Step 2. Put the petrol in the generator.
Step 3. Plug the refrigerator into the generator.
Step 4. Start the generator.
Step 5. Wait 60 mins.
Step 6. Open the refrigerator door and stand between the door and the refrigerator.

Enjoy.
