British lawmaker Tom Watson MP sent shock waves through the country's political establishment Wednesday, when he asserted in parliament that a former UK prime minister was linked to a "powerful pedophile ring."

Watson made the assertions during the weekly questions session with Prime Minister David Cameron. In a question to Cameron, Watson said:

"The evidence file used to convict pedophile Peter Righton, if it still exists, contains clear evidence of a widespread pedophile ring.
"One of its members boasts of his links to a senior aide of a former prime minister who says he could smuggle indecent images of children from abroad.

"The leads were not followed up but if the file still exists I want to ensure the Metropolitan police secure the evidence, re-examine it and investigate clear intelligence suggesting a powerful pedophile network linked to parliament and to No 10."

A grim-looking Cameron responded cautiously. "The honorable gentleman raises a very difficult and complex case and I'm not entirely sure which former PM he's referring to."

Evidence which could still be held by the police may reveal "a powerful paedophile network linked to parliament and to No 10", Labour MP Tom Watson has alleged.

The opposition backbencher prompted gasps of surprise in the Commons chamber when he raised the allegation in prime minister's questions this lunchtime.

Watson, speaking under protection of parliamentary privilege, said the evidence file used to convict a man called Peter Righton contained "clear evidence of a widespread paedophile ring".

"One of its members boasts of its links to a senior aide of a former prime minister, who says he could smuggle indecent images of children from abroad," the MP said.

"The leads were not followed up but if the file still exists I want to ensure the Metropolitan police secure the evidence, re-examine it and investigate clear intelligence suggesting a powerful paedophile network linked to parliament and to No 10."

Righton was fined £900 after admitting importing and possessing illegal homosexual pornography in 1992. Customs officers had intercepted a book and a magazine at their Dover postal depot in April of that year, the Independent newspaper reported at the time.

David Cameron responded by saying Watson had raised "a very difficult and complex case". He added: "I'm not entirely sure which prime minister he's referring to... I want to see what the government can do to help give him the assurances that he seeks."

Watson's allegations may be linked to a Sunday Times story published this weekend in which former Conservative minister Edwina Currie claimed Margaret Thatcher's former parliamentary private secretary, Peter Morrison, had sex with 16-year-old boys when the age of consent was 21.

Currie drew parallels with revelations about the late Jimmy Savile, whose sexually abusive behaviour has prompted a scandal about the culture at the BBC during the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Morrison died in 1995 and was described by Currie in her 2002 memoir as a "noted pederast".

"Even if Morrison was behaving in a criminal fashion, getting cases to court would have been difficult particularly if the young witnesses — one might be talking about a 17-year-old — did not want to give evidence," she explained.

"Unless somebody actually made a complaint to the police, perhaps involving violence, the chance of getting a criminal conviction would be very slim."

Watson, who has won plaudits for his unflinching assault on Rupert Murdoch's media empire, was understandably nervous before his appearance in parliament this lunchtime.

Earlier he tweeted: "Hoping to catch the Speaker's eye at #pmq's today. It's been a while. Feeling a bit anxious about it."

Radio talk show host John Baxter told CNBC’s Larry Kudlow the step-down may be part of a deal made by Petraeus to avoid testifying before a closed-door session of the Senate Intelligence Committee next week about the CIA’s role in the September 11 assault on the diplomatic facility and a CIA annex in Benghazi.
The House Intelligence Committee has also scheduled a hearing to grill Petraeus and National Counterterrorism Center Director Matt Olsen.
The chairman of the House committee, Rep. Mike Rogers, has vehemently criticized the Obama administration for its role in the attack that left ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead.
“Benghazi is not about Libya, Benghazi is about the policy of the Obama administrtion to involve the United States without clarity to the Americvan people, not only in Libya but throughout the whole of the Arab world now in turmoil,” Baxter told Kudlow. “Benghazi is about the NSC directing an operation that is perhaps shadowy, perhaps a presidential finding, perhaps doesn’t, that takes arms and men and puts them into Syria in the guise of the Free Syria Army.”

The fall of Petraeus coincides with the one tragedy he managed where the perception and what actually occurred intersected: Benghazi.

Mr Light, have you watched the dvd called ENDGAME: BLUEPRINT FOR GLOBAL ENSLAVEMENT. Made in 2007 by Alex Jones? If you haven't seen it, try to get it from your local library, well worth the viewing.

When the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) this week began taking military action in the Gaza strip against Hamas (as the IDF announced on Twitter), Anonymous declared its own war as part of #OpIsrael. If that’s not a declaration of success, I don’t know what is. There have so far been hundreds of takedowns and defacements of sites by Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks; one Pastebin trying to list them all includes 659 Web sites. Not all of them are still down, but some are, and others are still defaced.

Another AnonPaste includes 2,004 email addresses, the majority of which appear to have corresponding passwords, allegedly stolen from an MySQL database belonging to dirotmodiin.co.il, a site for finding real estate in Israel. Many of them are hosted on Israeli domains, but there are also the usual Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo accounts.

Yet as already mentioned, we’re talking about more than just DDoS attacks that are overloading Web sites, such as tel-aviv.gov.il, the municipal site for the second most populous city in Israel (after Jerusalem). There are also plenty of defacements, and, as of a few minutes ago, databases have also been wiped.

While the Israeli government almost certainly has backups of the aformentioned databases, these attacks as well as the defacements show Anonymous isn’t just doing its usual spree of overloading target sites. OpIsrael appears to have gotten multiple hackers involved who are interested in doing actual damage, or at least something that is slightly more permanent than just a 404.

I feel that anonymous have taken some action on my behalf. I do, like many others feel helpless watching the IDF wipe out the lives of innocent men, women and children. The best I can do is write to world leaders and express my support or disgust at their position on Israel's systematic inhumane treatment of these poor displaced people.

U.S. Officials Created a False Link Between Iraq and 9/11

5 hours after the 9/11 attacks, Donald Rumsfeld said,
“my interest is to hit Saddam".
He also said,
“Go massive... Sweep it all up. Things related and not"
And at 2:40 p.m. on September 11th, in a memorandum of discussions between top administration officials, several lines below the statement,
“judge whether good enough [to] hit S.H. [that is, Saddam Hussein] at same time”, is the statement “

"Hard to get a good case.”
In other words, top officials knew that there wasn’t a good case that Hussein was behind 9/11, but they wanted to use the 9/11 attacks as an excuse to justify war with Iraq anyway.

Moreover,
“Ten days after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, President Bush was told in a highly classified briefing that the U.S. intelligence community had no evidence linking the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein to the [9/11] attacks and that there was scant credible evidence that Iraq had any significant collaborative ties with Al Qaeda”.
And a Defense Intelligence Terrorism Summary issued in February 2002 by the United States Defense Intelligence Agency cast significant doubt on the possibility of a Saddam Hussein-al-Qaeda conspiracy.

And yet Bush, Cheney and other top administration officials claimed repeatedly for years that Saddam was behind 9/11. See this analysis.

Indeed, Bush administration officials apparently swore in a lawsuit that Saddam was behind 9/11.

Moreover, President Bush’s March 18, 2003 letter to Congress authorizing the use of force against Iraq, includes the following paragraph:
(2) acting pursuant to the Constitution and Public Law 107-243 is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.
Therefore, the Bush administration expressly justified the Iraq war to Congress by representing that Iraq planned, authorized, committed, or aided the 9/11 attacks.

Indeed, Pulitzer prize-winning journalist Ron Suskind reports that the White House ordered the CIA to forge and backdate a document falsely linking Iraq with Muslim terrorists and 9/11… and that the CIA complied with those instructions and in fact created the forgery, which was then used to justify war against Iraq. And see this.

Suskind also revealed that,
“Bush administration had information from a top Iraqi intelligence official ‘that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq - intelligence they received in plenty of time to stop an invasion’.”
Cheney made the false linkage between Iraq and 9/11 on many occasions.

For example, according to Raw Story, Cheney was still alleging a connection between Iraq and the alleged lead 9/11 hijacker in September 2003 - a year after it had been widely debunked.

When NBC’s Tim Russert asked him about a poll showing that 69% of Americans believed Saddam Hussein had been involved in 9/11, Cheney replied:
It’s not surprising that people make that connection.
And even after the 9/11 Commission debunked any connection, Cheney said that the evidence is “overwhelming” that al Qaeda had a relationship with Saddam Hussein’s regime , that Cheney “probably” had information unavailable to the Commission, and that the media was not ‘doing their homework’ in reporting such ties.

Again, the Bush administration expressly justified the Iraq war by representing that Iraq planned, authorized, committed, or aided the 9/11 attacks.

On December 16, 2005, Bush admitted,
"There was no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the attack of 9/11" (see below video).
