Milne - Greens must reach out to voters
Nov 4th, 2012 at 8:34am

http://theaustralian.com.au/news/christine-milnes-keynote-speech-fuells-early-el...

GREENS leader Christine Milne has fuelled early election speculation after declaring the party in "election mode" during a keynote speech in Sydney yesterday.

In a call-to-arms cry to the party faithful at its annual national conference, Senator Milne rallied members to begin reaching out to voters in a "very tough election".

The Greens party, having an agreement with Labor to oppose any motions of no-confidence in the government, has taken a battering since its record 2010 vote, with party support waning at all levels of government.

Senator Milne blamed a shift to the Right, driven by Labor fighting for its life against the Coalition, for the trend.

"2013 is going to a very tough election," she said. "We are now as a political party on election footing."

Julia Gillard - twice selected, never elected.

We're still paying for the Whitlam Government.

Get thee to work Greens, reach out to ordinary voters....

It should be a hit given they have such lovely representatives such as Skippy, adelcrow and TheGreenLight.

is greenlight green_win by any chance.. havent seen greenwinorlose for ages..

as for the greens fighting for their very existence...watch them drag out booby..he will fly here there and everywhere first class of course..

as they are now well and truly nailed to the Labs.. nothing really can undo that..why vote green when you are in reality voting Labor.. doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

its been proved that those in a minority Independents/greens will always vote with the govt as their very existence depends on not having an election any time soon.

so why would they not vote even though they may not agree with it..

yes some chest beating goes on... but come on???.. only an idiot would believe they have gone along with everything this govt has done..

Another lie, if it were true the Nationals would side with Labor. But while the whiny little bitch brigade are up in arms about independents or the GREENS siding with Labor there is absolute silence about the Liberals little bitch, alternatively known as the National party, freakin hypocrites.

a vote for labor is a vote for the greens.

If that means that a vote for the Lieberals is a vote for the Nats then I would happily take the Greens.

lol people know a vote for the nats is a vote for the liberals. They are only just starting to find out that a vote for labor is a vote for the greens. I am sure there would be a few that would love the idea that a vote for labor is a vote for the greens.

It is the masses that dont like the idea of it that need to be reminded of it.

So what you are saying is that the greens and labor are now actually in a coalition and it matters not of the scale in time, they are as dedicated to each other as a 100year old coalition.

Thanks for clearing that up.
