I dont care as long as Abbott isnt PM..Im more than happy for a Turnbull led Liberal govt

. I will remain in hope though, that the disaster that would be an Abbott government will never happen.

For our kids future we need to make sure it never happens.

It's upsetting when you see people close to you prepared to vote got him. My ex-wife and one of my sons for example. You wonder what must go through their heads to be prepared to vote for such a misogynistic, violent and sexist bastard as Abbott.

With garbage reasoning like this, I take comfort that the Greens will never gain much power or influence over many people.

Thats right..no one has the right to interrupt Labor and the Libs cosy little duopoly.
Why have a true multi party democracy?

If they want to interrupt the duopoly they can start by dropping slogans like sexist and misogyny. Most people know it's a straw man and a Red Herring.

Two parties that are pretty much the same theses days..we might as well just have a single party dictatorship and save the money wasted on elections. It would save time, money and breath wasted on political debates

Yeah, why have a party based on compassion, grass-roots democracy and equality?

You've conflated three different positions. Compassion does not automatically equal grass-roots democracy, and neither of those positions equate to equality.
Grass-roots democracy could produce any number of ideas, even ones that may not be based in compassion or equality. To presuppose that it would lead to compassion or equality is to dictate ahead what people ought to think and believe in.
Democracy is the last thing on the Greens' mind.

They're three separate, independent entities.

I am upset that the Greens went from 4 member to 1. It's disappointing. The two major parties split at 8-8.
