speak to any cop and they'll tell you its damned near impossible to convict a lot of pedo's without a confession.. in fact spot, i would suggest you let the police beat a confession out of them but i know how much you are opposed to letting police employ such tactics ( re read your several thousand posts on police use of tasers....yawn)
hell they could taser them til they confessed. Cheesy

the only small problem is that they could confess to the kennedy assasination.

At the same time, I am rather keen on retaining our 'guilty beynod reasonable doubt' evidence-based judicial system.

raid WHAT premises? the church itself? you dont generally raid PLACES looking for such evidence. You investigate PEOPLE. sex crimes are not like corruption. There is rarely a paper trail to follow.

The problem with the hindering of prosecution by the church is that in a lot of cases they are bound by the sactionity of the confession

They don't write this stuff down, so conducting raids is fruitless

Don't you think if they thought raids would produce something they would conduct them

Sexual assume leaves no paper trail, raids are worthless in these investigations

They raid them because they leave a trail. Most happen because of Internet investigations as this appears their method of getting the pictures.

If they had the evidence they would raid

You can't just raid someone because of their profession, and the ones under intense investigation have been

You sound like your on a witch hunt and want the coppers to raid every church

I don't see why they woe raid their church when the offending material would more than likely be in their homes
