Alan interviewed the Treasurer in the Howard govt, Peter Costello today.

Pete detailed all the wasteful borrowing and spending of the Rudd and Gillard Labor govts.

When asked; "What would you like to say to people who have young children in Australia today":

Pete; para; "It's their children who will be paying back all the debt the Rudd and Gillard govts have run up, having been left a bank account in credit, $70 billion in the Future Fund, and a budget surplus of $22billion", and it will take 2 or 3 decades or more to repay, if the debt stops now..and paying higher taxes and interest on the debt."

I assume Peter didn't say what he would have done if he was PM when the biggest financial crisis the world has seen since the Great Depression occurred. Oh that's right, Peter never had the balls to challenge the rodent after it became public the rodent backed down on a promise to stand down as PM, so he wouldn't know how it feels to think like a PM.
