Fifteen boats in one week!

Another 15 boats in a week, another 15 policy failures by Gillard and her Labor government. When will Gillard realise she's still got it wrong and that she must reinstate the full suite of Pacific Solution policies to once again stop the boats, not just cherry-picking some parts of it???

mmmm the coalition of the killing forces them to run, but not here, not to my country.

Why not my country?

The way I look at it is, we cause it, we face our responsibilities.

Other countries are taking millions of asylum seekers and refugees ( as a consequence of US led invasions) and they're not even involved in the war.

Many.
Then he introduced The Pacific Solution in 2002?

Then the boats basically stopped coming...Afghanistan invasion 2001, Iraq invasion 2003.
In 2007 when Rudd took over there were 4 'refugees' in detention.

Rudd, Gillard, Swan, Wong, Garrett, Swan and co abolished Howard's Pacific Solution policy, and the floodgates opened up once again!
Now we have what we have today.

at least no one drowned...

I have to admit these people smugglers are one lucky buggers..

a never ending supply of boats a never ending supply of people..

and 15 boats arriving with all safe and sound must be an extra feather in their caps..

I think a few failed business men in this country could learn a thing or two from these guys..

nothing seems to be able to stop them..

two huge countries and they are helpless.

Its really quite simple..we either accept refugees or we dont and because we do accept refugees all the pollies are doing is playing politics which does nothing to stop the boats and costs the country billions of dollars which under Labor and Liberals present policies all goes off shore to corrupt govts in Nauru and New Guinea.

If we want to be hardline and save money we can process all refugees onshore and in our communities while only giving those that arrive without refugee visas temp protection visas and a no family reunion provision attached to that visa.
We save money..and refugees that arrive unannounced by boat and air get the protection they need but only for as long as they need it.
It seems pretty simple to me that we can be hardline about it without putting people behind bars and we also stop sending taxpayers money offshore.
I dont nessesarily agree with TPV's but anything beats the cobbled together rubbish both parties are putting forward at the moment and far better than towing sinking boats back to Indonesia and watching women and children drown in the thousands.

Well all that means is the Government and the Imigration Department needs to work 15 times harder to process these people for there Visas.

Ok adelcrow what do you really support, the idea of send them back or the idea of process them and temporary visa etc.

whats everyone else opinion here.

whats the solution.

Oh and I can't see how all these illegals are stopping legal migration to this country. If you've got the money you can apply for visa for Australia.
