Alternative to boycotting 2BG advertisers

Instead of boycotting advertisers on 2GB (specifically those who advertise during Alan Jones' show), perhaps you may consider just switching to a different radio station or turning off the radio altogether and taking a deep breath, hmmm??? Calling for and taking part in boycotts will not make Jones stop (he said as much yesterday) but it will hurt a lot of small businesses who rely on exposure because Jones does pull in a big audience. It's the same with Kyle and Jackie O. People advertise with them because they have big audiences. So if you wanna do something constructive, just switch to a different radio station or turn off the radio altogether!

No armchair, thats not enough for some of these lefties, they want to go further and go into political persecution territory in dealing with alan jones

As lefties are inherently dictatorial, they would rather tell other people who they can listen to. It isnt enough for them to just decide for themselves, it has to be decided for everyone.

I dont read anyone I dont like dna.. its very simple.. what they say puts my back up and who needs that.. Paul Howes is one..

hear we have grown up people saying they wont listen or read such and such because they dont call it like I want them too..

if they were saying all these bitter things about the right then I would read or listen to them..

that is so childish and immature..and shows how boxed in they are..

I dont read Paul Howes but I dont call for a boycott because someone pays him to write what he writes..

Just because your type of propaganda is not popular (Russian radio may be the go), does not mean you try to get everyone listening, to stop listening. You change the channel and make your type of radio popular.

I'm sure there are left-wing radio shock-jocks out there who detest the thought of an Abbott-led government just as much as Jones cannot stand this ALP government. It goes both ways - that's why this is called a democracy!

I don't have a problem with right wing radio ... I have a problem with blatant lieing to listeners and being rude to anyone who doesn't see things his way, in order to push his own agenda ... lots of righ wing leaning radio DJ's who don't feel the need to lie and be rude to get their point across.
