Nice graph.

I hope Progressiveslol looks at it.

It shows very clearly that the earth has indeed been warming since 1997.

The rate of warming in 1997 was very high.  Not as high as 2005 - but still very high.

But overall - the eath has been warming every year since 1997 - at varying rates of increase.

Do you understand this Progressiveslol?

Do you need it explained to you in simpler terms?

The temperature anomoly has been positive every year since 1997 (and longer).
Hence - the planet has been warming every year since 1997 (and longer).

hmmm let me see if I can view it in your AGW eyes........ nope. 2 is bigger than 1, im pretty sure of that, but 1 is equal to 1, so.... 0.5 would be or can be assumed by my edumacation, to be equal to 0.5. Yep, I certainly cant see it in your AGW eyes.

Whats the total of govt subsidies for energy from coal including exploration, mining and then to the power station?

Buggered if I know. Just pointing out that all this la la green energy is costly.

No as costly as coal

Coal and gas paid $7b in subsidies
THE State Government has poured almost $7 billion in subsidies into the coal and coal seam gas industries in the past five years, an economic study shows.

You don't understand what that graph shows - do you.

It is the annual temperature above a baseline average.

Every year that the temperature anomaly is positive - means the earth is warming.

If the temperature were cooling, as you and Jonesy claim - then that graph would show predominantly negative values.  It doesn't.  Every single year represented in that graph THE TEMPERATURE ANOMALY IS POSITIVE.

Imagine that your mummy or daddy are driving their car.  When they press the accelerator - they accelerate.  They go faster.  If they press it hard - they will go faster at a greater rate than if they press it softly - but as long as they keep up some rate of positive acceleration - they will keep going faster.  That graph shows that the foot has been of the accelerator for the earth's temperature every year since 1997 (at least).

That is why the earth is warming.
That is why global glacial mass balance is decreasing
That is why sea level is rising
That is why the arctic Ice cap has shrunk to the lowest level ever recorded.

Alan Jones has been lying to you.  He has a problem with facts.  You should stop listening to him.  And you should definitely stop repeating his nonsense.  It indicates you are not very bright.

Lets take away all the subsidies for energy produced from coal from the exploration stage all the way to the construction of coal fired power stations and the cost of cleaning up the pollution produced from digging up and burning coal as well as rehabilitating the mine sites and see just how viable energy produced from burning coal really is.
In short what is the real cost of coal now and into the future compared to renewables?

Any of you pro-AGW crowd stopped to consider that carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas that is essential for all life on earth and that without it, no life (human or otherwise) would exist? To call it a pollutant would mean calling oxygen a pollutant.

And perhaps my plumber, mechanic, surgeon and bricklayer are wrong..if everyones lying just to line their own pockets I should assume every professional, tradie and business person is always lying to me.
None of us can hope to know everything about everything and sooner or later we have to put trust in those with expertise in various fields.
Should I rewire my own house on the off chance the local electrician is a liar and really knows nothing about his field even though he has years of experience and training all because I happen to disagree with his political views?

Yes.  CO2 is a naturally occurring gas that is essential for all life on earth and that without it, no life (human or otherwise) would exist.

It can also be a pollutant.

Just as pure, clean fresh water is a naturally occurring liquid that is essential for all life on earth and that without it, no life (human or otherwise) would exist - and yet can also be a pollutant when it is introduced in harmful quantities to particular environments such as a marine ecosystem.

I am taking a IFRS refresher course for my CPD hours, it's changed a hell of a lot since I passed.

I am not sure trusting me on accounting is that good an idea right now.

lol that is pathetic

so every year at 0.5 above some number someone made up, the baseline, is somehow different 16 years later at the same 0.5 degrees. Get a grip.

At 0.5 degrees above the baseline 16 years ago, is still the same 0.5 degrees above the baseline 16 years later. Meaning it has not warmed in 16 years. The baseline is static.

Talk about nutters from AGW.

People like regresivelaughongstock and armpit are a danger to our society. The fact these numpties think they know more than the science community explains a lot about their pure evil, stupidity and  just plain Dumbfvckedness. Jones does his job well at confusing societies stupid, these two are great examples. Remember they are to be laughed at and pityed but never taken serious.

You can keep follow your percentage of the climate  science, thats your right, just like I will follow my percentage of the climate science community.

You coming up with your so called concensus does not phase me in any way.

Here is an idea. Come up with proven empirical evidence. Until then, the debate is on and no side is the correct side.
