Humans create about 3% carbon dioxide, of which Australia produces .001% of the global man-made carbon dioxide output. How can we, as humans, be wrecking the Earth when our contribution to global CO2 is a meagre three percent? Also, global temperatures have actually been falling for nearly 17 years now - not rising. It's a joke! No. You really don't get this climate change/global warming stuff. You probably should stop trying to comment on it. First - you need to stop repeating nonsense like " global temperatures have actually been falling for nearly 17 years now". They haven't. Second - try to imagine that you earn $97 dollars a week. And your rent and food and all other expenses add up to $97 a week. What happens when you get a dog that costs you $3 week in dogfood? answer is you start using the other 95% of the wage you were trying to hide. How about you imagine you have a 97,000 litre swimming pool. You have the enormous good fortune of living in a climate where the average daily rainfall is exactly matched by the average daily rate of evaporation due to wind and solar irradience - so, the 97,000 litres remains virtually constant. What happens when you use your hose to add 3000 litres to that pool? Seriously - this is not a difficult concept. Are you really that stupid? Or just profoundly dishonest? You cant be that stupid. So I put 3000 litres in. Into the actual 2,000,000 litres of water as we are calculating the 100% amount of water, not just the water that turned yellow from your wee wee. I would say stuff all happened. Excuse me? Is 3000 3% of 2,000,000? Did Alan Jones tell you that? Why do you think the planets temperature is not increasing? What are you basing that statement on? No, 3% is 3% of the 100% of co2. Co2 is 5% of the greenhouse gases. No. You really need to stop listening to Jonesy. CO2 is between 10% to 25% of total greenhouse gasses - depending on what water vapour is doing. Overall - CO2 accounts for about 20% of the greenhouse effect. 97% of this CO2 (along with the water vapour) is in equilibrium. It cycles in and out of the atmosphere in natural cycles. It is the extra 3% that is added by anthropogenic sources that disturbs this equilibrium. if you don't belive this - give me your bank account number. i promise to only take 3% of your money each year. You won't even notice. progressiveslol wrote on Oct 19 th, 2012 at 8:22pm: Met office for one. Show us the reference then. I am calling you a liar. Prove me wrong. For starters, I have already proven you wrong, but being glut for punishment. Check out this site for reference, find the actual source if you wish on met. http://www.thegwpf.org/the-mail-on-sunday-and-the-met-office/As for your no no no co2 is at whatever whatever DEPENDING ON WHAT WATER VAPOUR IS DOING. Do I really need to let you know that because of co2 staying fairly constant, does not constitute it doing anything other than it already did. Water vapour being a greenhouse gas as co2 is, will allow a greenhouse ebatement effect. You make it sound like water vapour going down will do nothing, but use the silly argument that the percentage, yet not volume, of co2 will somehow go against the ebatement of water vapour. You seem to need a rethink of your position. I need to rethink my position? Me - and the entire global scientific community? Seriously dude. Stop listening to Jonesy. You are making a fool of yourself.
