The fact is the 1st countries to ban slavery, child Labor & the plethora other disgusting practices we used to find normal didn't achieve abolishment of said practices overnight.

Death is probably a relief

Still the horror & fear of watching whats is happening to others & knowing your next plus the actual pain of substandard blades & cuts is a terrible thing to endure for that relief.

Until all killing rooms have CCTV that's on 24 hours & monitored by an independent body with records kept for up to 3 years stuff will continue to happen as we saw on the Central Coast only this year.

I do have some sympathy for those that do this work, it must be soul destroying.

We are happy to be filmed walking the streets & in other employment places, what has the industry got to hide?

But with everything it's us that is to blame, we want cheap meat, cheap vegies & cheap sh!t period.

Until 90% of us choose the $30p/kg free range beef/bacon/lamb over the $15 factory farmed sausage meat nothing will change.

Same with our manufacturing until we buy the $600 Australian made whatever instead of the $400 Chinese version jobs continue to walk out the door no matter what party is in power.

So don't blame Gillard or Abbott, BLAME YOURSELF Sad

Ive been in enough slaughterhouses through my work to have forced me eat only free range ethically produced animal products these days.
Even most animals killed in this country go through an horrendous ordeal before they are finally put out of their misery and there are much better ways than the production line method used by our large slaughterhouses.
But banning all live animal exports is a start
