Reduce government outlays by eliminating middle class welfare (health insurance rebate, family tax benefit etc) and corporate welfare (e.g. car industry handouts).
No government funded paid parental leave schemes.
Review supperannuation tax concessions.
Encourage state government tax reform. Implement broad-based land taxes and eliminate conveyance duties. Harmonise payroll taxes.
Introduce reforms to make labour markets more efficient and flexible.
Seriously?
Point 1 - All liberals policies, remember the hand wringing that those on 240K wouldn't be able to afford food from all Liberal supporters here and All Liberal politicans within the parliament when Labor started means testing the PHR???
Imagine if they removed it totally???
Point 2. - Agree, but again the only policy we actually have from Tone is to increase company tax on ANY business that TURNSOVER more than 5 mill.
Again I ask does anyone here actually know what TURNOVER is???
It's not profit, it's not even gross profit before tax
It what goes thru your till before ANY expenses are deducted.
My little family business turned over roughly 2 mill last year, so don't be fooled by the lie they are trying to run that only large companies will pay.
Point 3 - Agree & again Labor has been muting change & again coalition cries foul
POINT 4 - excellent idea, I would add increase the GST to between 15 & 17%
Point 5 - What do you suggest?
Pretty close to an own goal their Shane
