Of course you do Spot. If you reduce your costs, the money saved goes to PROFIT. Which is what you're in business for. So they have a very big incentive to find ways to cut their tax bill. Every big business is always looking for ways to reduce their expenses for this very reason.

Ahh so they can gouge us further by making more profit by not taking the inflated prices off when they counteract them. Okay I see now.

Correct. Except that in a competitive market they can increase their market share by passing on the savings. If they could pick up say an extra $2 worth of net sales by passing on a $1 saving then they are still ahead. (These are numbers plucked out of thin air for the purpose of example)

Really, well interesting when I spoke with him the other week he told me that a lot of the other parents at the local kindergarten have also got some sky-high bills.
Plenty of blame going on the carbon tax he tells me.

But yeah, you stick your head in the sand pansi and just laugh at young families with huge bills if it makes you feel better.

Compensation is justly paid to those who to struggle meeting the cost of life's necessities

It is NOT there to subsidise LUXURIES of those who DON'T

I can only assume there is some envy or something but you're a bit hung up on that subject.

People are struggling out there and the one convo I have had with my mate when we discussed that bill, he did point out there were a few others who had similar bills.
His other big beef was home and content insurance - the Aussie companies landing them with increased premiums for 'natural events' about 6 hours plane ride away too....

I think you're having a laugh. How come you won't tell us how many megajoules of gas was consumed in the period covered by the bill? Is it because you know its a stupidly large amount (if the bill even exists) and it wil show you up to being a liar?
