Wow the lack of libbos in this thread is telling

SOB

Maybe their electricity bill didn't go up 200% and they're embarrassed, like Tony  Embarrassed

I wish they could explain the price of tomatoes??spuds.petrol.fruit and veg I mostly walk past  them  now along with the meat section..

I dont expect my first bill until Oct.glad it isnt impacting on everyone though.just the same..Swan will probably want his compensation back...

how could all those experts get it so wrong though???

I know cods, and pumpkin $4 a kilo, frekkin pumpkin, throw some seeds in the ground and they'll grow like weeds.

It's inflation and the prices will keep going up and up. The rising cost of living. I don't actually see many people buying those expensive veges though, they must be learning to live without them. We're lucky in that we have a wide range so we can still get some cheap fruit and veges, even if they're not our preferred variety.

pansi they keep telling us it isnt inflation.. look at the interest rate??...this is what I mean pumpkin.. used to be a weed..almost.
I dont even look to be honest.. too depressing.lucky me I guess I am only one.. but what do the families do .. they have little choice.. I have noticed even Aldi isnt CHEAP any more..which is where I used to buy fruit and veg..I wanted brussel sprout last week $9. they had about half a dozen in the bin..as you say no ones buying.... I was always a fresh is best person..but that long gone..I havent the back for growing. and never had any success anyway..

and we dont have the roadside stalls like we once did.

Who, exactly, is telling you it isnt inflation?

Not relevant.

In a discussion about the carbon tax and increases in bills it certainly is relevant. It might show that this time last year the bill was for twice as much for all we know!

Mate you need all the support you can get - from wherever quarter that may come.

I would suggest though, it is best they are part of the medical profession.

WakeUp2TheLies.com? sounds like a reputable and balanced source of information  Roll Eyes

can you not see that the link carries a letter by prof manne of la trobe to the editor of the australian? maybe you can't. here is the letter at that link:

USING Gerard Henderson as its source, Cut & Paste (12-13/5) suggests I should be ashamed that I am employed at a university that was 131st of the nation’s top 500 carbon polluters.

La Trobe is on the list for the carbon tax because it produces its own energy from natural gas, a cleaner energy source than other fossil fuels. Our co-generation plant, which has operated since 1993, is twice as efficient as the brown coal generators that supply the rest of Victoria.

Although I had no role in the decision, the fact that we are powered by the cleanest burning fossil fuel is one reason that I am not ashamed, but proud to be a member of La Trobe University.

Robert Manne, La Trobe University, Vic

it is one thing to be passionate. it is not the same as being blinkered. you have passed the test for the former with flying colours and you are now within a toucher of the latter. a big disservice to your cause.
