Another multi-billion $$ unfunded Gillard promise
Sep 19th, 2012 at 6:31am

Seems that Gillard just can't help herself. She's announced $1.4bn in taxpayer funds will be used to prop up private childcare workers wages in a move that is seen as an effort to shore up union support for her leadership.

First of all, where's this new money coming from and how will this affect Swan's phony surplus? Given the blowout in dealing with illegal immigrants and the numerous other unfunded multi-billion dollar promises (hahaha, that's a funny word when used in describing anything related to Gillard, the pathalogical liar!) she's made, where will this money come from? Which other services face the axe? Secondly, what about a taxpayer-funded wasge rise for aged care workers? Why not them, given they are among the lowest paid workers in the country?

I personally don't see this ever seeing the light of day and it reeks like policy on the run made on the back of a napkin.

All the people here irrationally belly aching about Costello's QLD audit, wait until you see Swan's Mid-Year Economic an Fiscal Outlook. That's going to be a mammoth exercise in trickery.

As for the new spending promises:

One look at the nations' books that Wayne Swan has been keeping and neither of those credit companies would give him the time of day.

BAH HAH! What a bunch of clueless tools you two are. We have AAA credit rating from ALL THREE ratings agencies. Something that your peanut Costello never achieved. We have a leading economy. Something that your peanut Costello never achieved. And this has been done in the worst conditions since the Great Depression. Something that your peanut Costello never had to achieve.

Meanwhile, all your clown Costello has managed to achieve is a dodgy audit that the experts are saying is a load of excrement just so his mate CanStuffIt had an excuse to sack half of Queensland.

You lot aren't fit to manage a kindergarten sandpit.

Yeah yeah $250 billion in debt through the middle of the most unprecedented mining boom in our history. So good with money.

And we're earning far more than ever. In comparison to our earnings, the debt is lower than ever. Something Costello never managed to achieve, even WITH the mining boom AND a buoyant world economy going for him.

You can not be upset by $1.4 Billion of money well spent when you are supporting Abbnott's $70 Billion unfunded black hole of promises largely amounting to wasted spending.

Look at his carbon solution, a plan to remove the fixed carbon price but keep the compensation in place which it pays for and then implement a more expensive system which will do less all out of our tax dollars.

The hypocrisy is rife!!  We have hockey on morning news saying labor has a 120BILLION black hole, but not being able to name what, only saying its because of the mining collapse.  If that's the case it would seem LIBS have a $190billion black hole that they don't want to talk about.  HYPOCRISY IS RIFE. get rid of Abbott.  Get rid of hockey. And get rid of Robbie.  And then perhaps libs will sound credible.

Doesn't this come on top of something like $2 billion to fund a pay increase for low-paid workers?
Since when was the govt in the business of topping up wages? I can't remember a previous case but I might be wrong.
If this is to be a pattern for future govt spending, where is it going to end?

WOW, what a list...

1. So we have AAA credit rating, hooray.
2. Are you saying we weren't a leading economy under costello? If so what economic markers are you using to support that?
3. Correct Costello never had to work through a "great depression" like economy (exagerate much?) (but we did sail through the Asian one) - So? Hardly his fault.

Now get out of the sand-pit!!
