Where did marriage come into it?
His comments were made during a debate about homorriage. Note how nothing his opponent Milne said (apart from calling him homophobic - such a compelling argument) was reported, and no context was given. GOTCHA! journalism at it's weakest.

And using the statistics that someone provided, he's right. I wouldn't have represented it that way, but I don't know the context in which it was said. Shame on him from bringing something more than fluffy platitudes and soundbites to a debate. He should know logic, facts, tradition and common sense count for nothing these days.
Quote:And seeing you wish to bring marriage into it, it's not a christian belief it a pagan one stolen by Christianity like most of their other supposed holy days & rituals.
You're right, it's not a uniquely christian insitituion - It's a universal one. Which makes it all the more silly to set this up as a homo vs christians thing. It's more like homos vs everyone who ever lived! And thanks to state and media enforced "tolerance" (cowardice) the homos are winning.
