I am in favor of democracy, free speech, transparency and accountability on all the issues...nothing should happen on poofter marriage, the carbon tax or cubbie house sale without national interest accountability and a referendum...we have to press harder for full compliance with constitutional democracy.... Smiley Smiley

I do not usually respond to the fruit loop brigade but do you have any idea how much a referendum costs.....Why bother when the result will be ignored and the question will be loaded towards a preferred outcome anyway???

Quote:
Mr Wallace made the remarks in Tasmania yesterday during a debate with Greens leader Christine Milne on the merits of same-sex marriage.

"I think we're going to owe smokers a big apology when the homosexual community's own statistics for its health - which it presents when it wants more money for health - are that it has higher rates of drug-taking, of suicide, it has the life of a male reduced by up to 20 years," he told the audience.

Anyone who supports this cretin deserves to be ridiculed.....It is the views of religious nut jobs like Wallace that helps drive these shameful statistics.....If Wallace accepts there is a health problem with homosexuals then why is he not advocating more support for them.....Wallace represents all that is bad about religion!!!

So what your implying is the Christian lobby can say what they like but the pm must attend their conference whether she wants to or not.
Doesn't that constitute a denial of freedom of association?
Her free will to choose who she speaks to or what she attends seems to be forgotten, I look forward to the next time tony is forced to speak at the lesbian transsexual and gay lobbies next function.

And the link between him stating a fact and this rant is......?

Love that you turkeys always talk about the 'bigotry' of religious folk, and then come out with this bullshit.

Forgive him father, for he knows not what he does.

I like this wallace guy - he has principles and sticks to them, unlike his wishy-washy weak-willed detractors.

Because the behavior is the problem...just like it is with smoking - its a matter of taking personal accountability for the consequences of bad behavior and poor choices and changing./..personally, I think most were either poorly raised or abused and are deeply traumatized and disturbed individuals but the responsible thing is to not let the same mistakes be passed on to the next generation... Whether you are for or against:

(1) Gay marriage
(2) Abortion
(3) Carbon emission impact of humans
(4) Alcohol
(5) Illegals
(6) Aborigines

You should be able to have a say without being demonised.

What is demonising?

It is about labelling a person as inherently evil for expressing any views

you mean like you do of anyone associated with the ALP?

So the pm must speak at every conference he/she is asked to attend?
As I said will you demand tony speak at the next white power conference if invited or will you suddenly defend his right to refuse.
I'm also interested in the good manners comment, she has declined to speak which I'm sure was conveyed in a congenial way(do you have evidence it wasn't ) leaving the conference enough time to organize a replacement.
Wouldn't it be ironic if they asked Abbott  Cheesy

Yes especially when it is a representative of a group supposed to believe in tolerance, forgiveness and the other platitudes "Christians" use to describe their belief
