The truth is both Abbott and Gillard don't give a toss about our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq or they wouldn't be over there.
Our defence forces should only be used to defend this country and our allies..not sent across the globe to put their lives on the line for badly planned revenge attacks and lies to boost the political prospects of American Presidents.
Gillard, Abbott and Howard have the blood of every single soldier on their hands and I for one don't buy their rehearsed and scripted crocodile tears.

Remember the only reason we are still in Afghanistan is because Gillard & the Greens think the purpose of our military is nation building and forcing freedom and secular democracy on that country no matter how many we have to kill to do it. They also use the navy as a ferry service for human trafficking... Sad

The worst part is, that the USA just attacks or invades any country it wishes to, and the Australian government just jumps on the bandwagon.
Look at the mess the US has left in Iraq, and now they are working towards Iran, or even China.
It is really questionable, who the evil empire is in this world.
