Yep we may well be screwed but I do not see the point in continuing to try to make it worse and to be putting ourselves into a worse position on the economy as well.

Our current position is not stationary - we have been getting worse at an accelerating rate, doing nothing is actually getting a lot worse all the time.

Anyway, speaking of terrifying maths. The most terrifying number Ive seen is that to just stay within 2 degrees of warming, the average human emissions per person across the world is 3 tonnes per year.
We fine Australians are about 19 tonnes a year. Euro's around 7, Chinese around 6.5, Yanks about 17.

Even if the right wingers decided to take the politics out, would we be even any chance of reducing our emssions by a whopping 80% ??

Those businesses who take appropriate Risk Prevention measures are more likely to survive & prosper, whilst those businesses that don't undertake the appropriate risk prevention measures, are more likely to flounder & turn belly up.

What you and others are saying, is your not even going to do a Risk survey, so you are blind to what is coming and therefore you & others similar are much more likely to go belly up.

However, the real problem is that IF you & others like you (the LNP LOONS & the Heartland Institute) are those in power, then it is also more likely you will take the rest of humanity with you!

Finally, I don't know what motivates you, but it sure isn't good common sense.
