And the polluter is - C-Hina

http://www.theage.com.au/world/chinese-footprint-grows-20120719-22cvh.html

HE average Chinese person's carbon footprint is now almost on a par with the average European's, new figures show.

China became the largest national emitter of carbon dioxide in 2006, though its emissions per person have always been lower than those in developed countries such as Europe's.

But this week's report by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and the European Commission's Joint Research Centre show that per capita emissions in China increased by 9 per cent in 2011 to reach 7.2 tonnes per person, only a fraction lower than the EU average of 7.5 tonnes. The figure for the US is much higher - at 17.3 tonnes - though total Chinese carbon emissions are now about 80 per cent higher than those of America.

The widening gap reflects the 9 per cent increase in China's emissions in 2011, driven mainly by coal use, compared with a 2 per cent fall in the US.

Total emissions in Europe and Japan also fell last year, by 3 per cent and 2 per cent respectively. But emissions rose across much of the developing world, including India, which saw a 6 per cent increase. As a result, OECD nations now account for only about a third of the global total.

Let's look at the "per capita" argument based on population

Australia = 18.9 x     22,000,000 people

C-Hina    =  7.2 x 1,300,000,000 people

For a start, a "loon" is a denier.  Someone who elevates beliefs over logic.  Lets get the terminology right.

What is very encouraging is that european levels have dropped due to carbon pricing and other determined measures. This gives a lot of hope that we can turn it around, and they have laid the blueprint for others to follow.

Its inherently racist to say that a chinese man cannot polute more than a european or Australian.  The world fully expects China, and India to rise to the levels of western countries as they develop.  Once there, they fall into the same responsibilities for cuts as we have.

What is disgusting, is that an Australian produces more the twice as much co2 polution as a european for a similar quality of life. We should be embarrased that we're at this state, and those advocating for us to keep increasing our co2 output while europe decreses its output, should be doubly embarrased by their greed.

Where did I say it was a hoax?

Temperature have varied from maximum and minimum for thousands of years now!!

There's been at least 4 Ice Ages - so climate changes have occurred since Adam was a boy

The Earth's over 4 billion years old - I am sure there's been a couple of climate changes over that time

Your stupid OP is about co2 emissions. You believe that  is not causing global warming.  That is what you think is a hoax.

As usual, any questioning of your belief causes  you to run, hide, deflect, etc.

I am sure it's causing Global Warming

But we don't even know how much humans are contributing to the overall carbon emissions?

Do we contribute 0.0001% or 50%

Interesting how no Climate Scientists can give us that answer

A denier then is a loon

So anyone who denies anything is a loon

It's called rhetorical demonising

If you are so interested in facts then show us how much humans contribute to the overall carbon emissions - in percentage terms

How on earth do some of the idiots advocating a carbon tax on Australia and allowing China's to rise - not see this highlighted area as a problem????

China needs to be held accountable as well and that means they should NOT be allowed to grow their emissions and this destructive rate.

Amazing how those who allegedly care for the world environment have no problem with the world's worst polluter growing at a shocking rate and not even looking like reducing....

80% higher emissions than the next worst polluter.....
