Your plan might work if you were fighting a state-led army that can unconditionally surrender. Terrorists, on the other hand, are quite happy to blow themselves up.

Also, they're cunning. They know how to build tunnels and wait for the Winter - when it's too foggy to bomb anything.

Still, it's nice to remember the good old days when we had the enemy on the hop. Things were so much simpler then, weren't they?
