Have you ever been to Malaysia, old chap?

I recently visited a sinister group of islands called the Perhenthians - just off the east coast of Malaysia near Kota Bharu.

On the surface, it looked beautiful. Pristine beaches, protected marine life, lazy locals - not a mosque or parapet to be seen. The Muslims there got about in Western dress, called you sir, acted all "eco-friendly" and generally pretended they weren't Muslims at all.

The bars played Bob Marley late into the night like any other South East Asian backpacker resort. They served beer and barbecued fish on the beach. Many of their women got about without headscarves - can you believe it? They were definately trying to hide their true identity.

There was clearly a conspiracy going on here. I'm not sure where they kept their weapons. They acted all welcoming for the sake of the tourists. How duplicitous. These people were trying to lure the Westerners in so they could perform some devious and sinister Moslem act upon them.

Yes, old boy, they were out to such the tourists dry.

Best to stay away from these awful Moslem places. Most unsafe. Don't believe a word the guidebooks say.

I, for one, will not be going back.
