If his scientifically proven calculations fail to come to pass, the Light will be forgiven most publicly. Does anyone care to deny this?

If the Light is correct, we shall thank him in the Higher Realms. "Light," we shall say, "we should have listened to you all along."

The Light will then forgive us.
