Fairfax shares closed 1.72 per cent lower at 57 cents, against a benchmark index fall of 0.5 per cent. The stock hit a fresh all time low of 55.5 cents in early afternoon trade.

As can be seen in the above chart, FXJ shares were at all time highs around $5.00 in 2007, but today they are at $0.52.
