Why do we want shooters in national parks? They're there for the whole community, not just one select group and no one wants to go hiking knowing that people with loaded guns are running around the place.

Shooters, hire your own land and you can shoot until your hearts content. We don't want to share because we know exactly what you'd be shooting if you got your gun crazy foot in the park.

I'm surprised the shooter wants to beat someone to death lol....oh maybe with the butt of his gun.

Clearly you know nothing about this story, what is being proposed is supervised shoots of non native feral animals i.e. cats, deer ect..

This is my point when i go on about greens being fake environmentalists. The Shooters party wants to shoot pest animals destroying the habitats of Australian Native animals and the greens just want the feral animals left unchecked.

I have never shot a thing and I find the rambo style shooters hilarious and I detest those who brag about the death of an animal, however having seen the damage caused by feral deer, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, foxes and rabbits to our precious national parks I fully support controlled firearm access to the parks. The emphasis on ''controlled''.

If you haven't seen the damage done, I suggest you get out into the parks with someone who can show you.

Greeny, you have no understanding of hunting. Hunters do not shoot willy nilly at anything. And we are talking about supervised shoots.

Well you're talking out of yours!

Perhaps you should talk to conservationists who live near national parks, (and I don't mean just those on the outskirts of capital cities), you'll probably be surprised to find out that they support controlled firearm access in preference to aerial bating.

Will it wipe out these pests?

or will it just result in native animals and people shot and then left to die inhumane deaths.

Perhaps these shooters should start with shooting all the dumped animals the RSPCA end up euthanising.

If people would like to reduce feral animals, lets look at the cause, human dumping of their pets.
