Schools and hospitals to suffer under Carbon Tax
Jun 11th, 2012 at 8:10am

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/national/13917367/nsw-budget-prepares-for-c...

Treasury figures show the average NSW hospital can expect to face a $120,000 annual carbon bill when the $23-a-tonne carbon price kicks in on July 1.

The average local public school will have to pay an extra $9000 a year on power bills, News Limited reports.

The new modelling of the carbon tax impact on government services included in Tuesday's state budget - based on federal modelling that assumes a "cost pass through rate" of about nine per cent for electricity - shows NSW Health would have a $106 million carbon cost over the four-year forward estimates.

The education department would have a four-year liability of $77 million.

RailCorp would pay an extra $57 million over four years and State Transit would pay an extra $1 million a year to run the city's buses, according to News Limited.

Every services in the economy uses electricity - therefore will be hit by the carbon tax

And how much is Gillard giving us in compensation?

Austudy have just received $192 a year in compo - you reckon this will be enough?

Compensation is ripped out of the economy, by Abbott, then electricity continues to rise with no respite.

What then denialists?

Abbott is happy to force up the cost of living?

Compo will not be necessary when the carbon tax is abolished. No tax means no need for compo. Simple as that!

How. If electricity prices don't go down within a month, will the neocons call an snap election.

When electricity and food keep rising, yet pensioners lose cash out of their pensions ... workers have to pay more tax and lose wage rises. Will your lot admit you support higher cost of living pressures.

Repealing Carbon Tax won't reduce the number of homosexuals either - but we all live with that fact so should you

Because the electricity prices have gone up every single bill since they were privatised. They will continue to do so. This carbon tax is a brilliant excuse to put them up even more. The govt released figures of how much they will actually be effected by carbon tax. Anything above that is more greed.

A large part of the problem is that under successive Labor governments in NSW, electricity infrastructure was left to decay due to neglect and is now badly in need of repairs and upgrades. These are things that will cost an enormous amount of money. Had Labor not been so self-obssessed while in office, things may be different.

So Tony will be cutting pensions? So Tony will be increasing income tax?
