The Greens went to the election with a carbon tax as policy and either of the major parties was always going to have to negotiate with the Greens over the issue when they got in.
Just as whoever gets in at the next election will have to do the same thing..Labor or Coalition.
If you think the issue of carbon pollution will just go away because Abbott has decided to play politics with a very important issue you are very much mistaken.
The Greens will still have the balance of power in the Senate no matter who grabs power next time around and with a stable supporter base no amount of DD's will dislodge them.
So I would stop buying Abbotts constant lies and spin and get with the program.

And did the Greens get the majority vote? NO!!!

The only reason why they have a say now is because Gillard gutted the Australian people the same way she gutted her leader in Kevin Rudd

Come off it maqqa. John is right - exactly the same thing happened when Howard introduced the GST. That isn't due to the implementation of a tax, it's due to greedy business owners taking advantage.

Are you then saying they are all greedy business owners?

If they have put up their price today by one cent then yes, they are greedy business owners. There is no tax. They haven't paid it. So they should NOT jack up prices for a figment of their imagination.

If on 1st July their prices rise then they are justified in passing on the increase. And ONLY the increase, not some mythical amount above and beyond that. If they do so then yes, they are greedy business owners.

And you well know that this is the case.

Gillard was clear in saying that business will be looking to transition to the carbon tax. This costs money. Therefore as justified in passing it on.

Just as the GST cost more than just the tax for businesses to implement it..but all those costs have been factored in so consumers are not gouged.
Howard had to belt a few businesses around the set a few examples and Gillard will be no different.

The difference is Howard to his change of policy to an election - Gillard didn't.

While you advocate that the hiccups are the same - I am saying because of the above difference  Gillard's hiccups should be and will be condemned more than Howard.

Soo... basically, despite the title you really have nothing to say about any supposed problems with the carbon tax. You just want to cry some more about losing the election by saying the same old things you've been saying since you lost. Got it.
