Footage shows the Queen hours after succeeding to the throne

Remarkable footage has been broadcast for the first time, showing the Queen returning to Britain, just hours after she had succeeded to the throne. The footage featured in a Jubilee tribute to the Queen by Prince Charles.

Meanwhilem, final preparations are under way for a weekend of events to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

A full dress rehearsal of a procession between Westminster Hall and Buckingham Palace has taken place, while the captains and crew of more than 1,000 boats that will sail along the River Thames in a flotilla on Sunday are also being briefed.
