Whether we "declare" independence or not chances are we will be using the same system under a republic anyway. Otherwise we would have to adopt a whole new system which would potentially put our society on hold

Have you seen the British House of Parliament and the US Congress?
How about the Turkish parliament where they exchange blows?

Ask Gist about his country's parliament - the Italians are in and out like a revolving door. 69 elections since the end of WW2.

The Greek one had a brawl the other day.

So what would you have it changed?

The Chinese system where they all sit like drugged monkeys clapping their dear leaders frightened if they don't clap they'll receive a bullet to the head?

Ccan you imagine the logistical nightmare this would bring if wo brought in a new system?

Every single court case in Australia would have to stop so that the new system could be implemented.

Every department in Australia would have to change.

If you say - well lets use the old system.

Any change is going to affect daily life and the status quo - especially if it challenger tyranny, Oligarchical rulers, and entrenched corruption and privilege. Expect to be disturbed by a people who will not settle for serfdom and mediocrity from Government.

I was not aware that the Queen was making laws for Australia and she's doing it in such a way that reflects and deserve the word "tyranny"
