Australia for Sale

Interesting Gillard says that the minerals don't belong to the miners or to her but that she holds them on trust for the Australian sovereign people.
This at the very time that Craig Emerson is off in China with the for sale signs for large tracts of northern Australia.
Trust...now there's a concept.
Maybe what she meant to say is the she holds the land on trust for the Chinese people or the American people but surely not the Australian people.

Well actually they belong to the states...but I won't quibble.
Regardless she seems pretty keen to put foreign interests ahead of Australian...jobs, land, minerals, selling coal carbon tax free,...

To be honest I'm not overly fussed if it's rich Australian's owning the land, or if its rich Chinese - they're all still rich and rich people are same the world over.

To be honest I'm not overly fussed if it's rich Australian's owning the land, or if its rich Chinese - they're all still rich and rich people are same the world over.

There's a lot of difference in the amount of taxation. Multinational companies based in other countries pay considerably less tax to Australia. Gillard is far from acting as a fiduciary or trustee is pimping out Australia for short term gain without a thought to the consequences to our future.

it doesnt matter what is below the surface it belongs to the people.. if you discovered gold on your plot of land they would take it from you..

stands to reason...

why do you think all miners have to have a licence???..

it gives them rights.. not liberty..

and if you think the govt of the day will stand by and let you do what you like with your property, or whats under the ground... you have another think coming I am afraid..
