Sucks to be him.
I see indefinite detention and torture in his future.. Proof that freedom is already dead

Yep, if we can't have openness  and transparency in journalism, what hope?

Just like in the middle east, the west have colluded to kill freedom and democracy.

I expect the International Human Rights Commission would be part of the oligarchy, no help there.

Today is a bad day for democracy, freedom and justice.

And the sheeples follow baa baa

What I cannot understand, is, why would Sweden extradite him to America?
If he is guilty of any offence in Sweden, he should stand trial there, if he is prosecuted, cop the fine or imprisonment, but after that, he should be allowed to go wherever he wants to.
Is Sweden so undemocratic to act as a lackey for the USA, similar to Asutralia?

I think Sweden has an extradition treaty with the USA.

Yeah. Apparently their agreement with the yanks is worse than ours. Ours @ least specified "terrorism" but theirs doesnt. Not does UKs (which they are discovering now).

Seems to me though that they can possibly NOT give him over. Its within their power. I saw some talking head last night saying he doesnt think they will but when you think about it - why trump up these silly "minor rape" (not using a condom apparently) charges to get him there if they arent planning on handing him over?

Is their anything stopping the US from accusing Assange of terrorism?

Accusing him? No. They can accuse him of terrorism and lock him up for the rest of his life.
But they probably can not charge him with it in a court of law.

Espionage is just as bad. Once they get him extradited for that they can change it to terrorism if they want but the point the yanks are making ATM with all these extractions is that they can do it on any yank law they want. they are setting precedents all over the place.

It's ridiculous that he never committed that crime in America -- as far as I know anyway.

Apparently he may get another shot @ an appeal. I dont think the UK is happy about their international "agreement" with the eu being misused by the yanks. Too bad they already signed ACTA.
