Liberal candidate for preselection, Matty, has announced plans to marry later in the year.

"It will be a quiet ceremony with close friends and family," Matty's campaign manager said.

His fiancee, Angeleyes, a member of the Young Liberals, is believed to be a woman, although her gender is still unclear.

Matty is believed to be recovering from gender reassignment surgery. At this stage, his new gender is unknown. Matty was previously a 21 year old male student studying to be a specialist.

"We need to put these trivial details behind us," Matty's campaign manager said. "What is important is that we put everything we've got into the next election."

"Angeleyes will make an excellent bride for Matty, and this will assist with his standing in the party. In the past, we've tried other partners without success. We're definately going with this one."

Matty's previous wife, Juliar, was unavailable for comment.

It's rather like a sex change, Matty is now a female and angeleyes definitely has testicles. I know because I'm like a favourite aunt to matty and he confides in me quite often. He used to be keen on Pauline at one stage, but she let him down badly, that's the real reason for the reassignment.

Mellie, please RSVP as soon as you can. The wedding will be held in a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory. Matty works with these poor unfortunate people to try to better them and make them more civilized.

Matty and Angeleyes are requesting no presents, please. Instead, a donation to the Ryde Greens would be most appreciated.
