WHATEVER THIS LOT SAY i AM AGAINST IT AS WELL..

we are going to be $300 m in debt for petesake

you can support Ms 23% all you like.. going down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how low does a PM go???

Correction - it's going to be $300 BILLION, not $300 MILLION.

slip of the keyboard sorry about that to all those who pointed it out... I am sure swan would be delighted though.. ha.ha.

as for not being much as the comrades keep pointing out..

he has had to increase it by $100b........

if its not much why not go for the half, trillion or whatever comes next..

I am one of these people that try to picture just what a billion looks like.. it escapes me..maybe I would rather not know.

Just add three more zeroes to one million and hey, presto - you've got one billion! Come to think of it, that's probably the way Swan's mind works.

I think his mind works like my granddaughters..

in debt up to her eyeballs knows no other way as far as I am concerned..

but when she buys something..if it costs $39.95 she tells you it cost $30.

now that is the way she thinks she does it with everything..

she will always be in debt...

Oh goodie Cods has given us one of her jewels of wisdom Cheesy Cheesy Grin Tongue

It's 300 billion Cods and for all the oldies that is not as much as you might think anymore. And how low can we go with a PM, simple just vote Abbott then start making the sausage peg soup.

You see , that is where you are wrong. Abbott has been a part of a successful government as a high-ranking Minister. Gillard hasn't been a part of a successful government in any capacity - EVER. Who would have a better chance for success? I'll give you a hint - it isn't Gillard.

So Abbott was a part of a successful government according to you AP.

Now tell us what success did the government achieve when Abbott was a high ranking minister.

Name 3 things that you will remember about that government in 20 years time.

Here is a easy one for you name 3 things that Fraser done while he was in office

he had the GUTS to take the GST to an election...

and god only knows where we would be without it.

he saved East Timor...

he paid back a missive debt that if he hadnt we would be bankrupt by now...

he did start a dental service.. that was cancelled by rudd... he was doing his best to nationalise our waterway.... but the piggy in the trough Victoria wanted more than everyone else..

he handed out bonus to those on pensions..

he handed out Tax benefits that I am sure you gobbled up..

and btw he left a
massive surplus

I completely challenge your assertion that Abbott was successful in the Government. Please explain in which portfolio he was successful. In health he oversaw the most serious decline in healthcare this country has seen, and ageing was failed as no plan or vision was put in place now leaving us with an insurmountable mountain to climb with the ageing population. All his other positions were as parliamentary secretaries so ho hum. I will also refute that the Howard Government were Successful. They won many elections but as a long term visionary government they fail the country monumentally and as time goes by we begin to understand that more and more. We now have massive infrastructure problems, ageing population issues, struggling health system, a one faced economy in mining, involvement in wars based on lies, a divided population on racial and social grounds. The only good thing Howard did was pay off a debt and even that he didn't do that was Costello, Howard actually blew the rivers of gold on middle class welfare.

Please re-read what I said. I never said he was successful in government (although he was). I said he was part of a successful government. Obviously in your rush to attempt to ridicule my post you have wet yourself and not fully read what I said.

You were asked questions about Abbott as a minister and the Howard government was a disaster we are paying for dearly and will for many years to come. If you could read rather than wet your pants you would understand what was written. Angry Angry
