Masterchef 2012

Was I the only person who watched Masterchef's first show for 2012 and was irritated by the number and frequency of advertisement breaks? Matt Preston's lack of dress sense is bad enough, but if they do that many ad's during the next show, I'm tuning out of Masterchef permanently.

Advertisements can be annoying, but I usually find something else to do while they're on.  While it would be better without them, I don't think Masterchef is the sort of program which all the advertisements render unwatchable, as they would a classic such as, for example, Citizen Kane or The Third Man.

As for Masterchef, yes, I did watch it, although I did miss the last ten or fifteen minutes.  I don't really find Masterchef very interesting until the number of contestants is reduced a bit.

Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.

I watched it too. I usually switch over to the net during ad breaks and keep TV on a small screen on the corner. I have it set so that it mutes when I do that.

I knew that risotto was not going to turn out. Why do so many people think they can make a perfect risotto?  It takes time and it's a deceptively difficult dish to get right. I've only had about one or two really good risottos at a restaurant.  I've made it myself, but it can be hit and miss.
